I Care a Lot (2020)
Here's what actually happened
Once the Russian mafia mobsters realized who "the guardian" of his mother was, his soldiers paid Marla and her girlfriend a visit, slit their throats, cut their bodies into tiny pieces and dumped those pieces across the city. The next appointed guardian was approached with the same $150K bribe, took it gratefully and released the mother. The end. The moral of the story: don't abuse the elderly and don't f@ck with Russian mafia.
Behind Her Eyes (2021)
That was an unexpected twist!
Binge watched it in one setting! Loved every episode. Beautiful cast, gorgeous scenes and, most importantly, the story will keep you engaged till the very end. It's one of those plots where you think you know how it's going to end and then it surprises your socks off!
Also loving the fact that it's a Limited Series, so there are no cliffhangers at the end of the show.
Cursed (2020)
So bad
I really tried to find at least something in this show to justify the time I wasted on it. Alas, there's nothing to grasp on. Poor writing, flat acting, zero chemistry between the leads, cheesy music, and amateur directing. If this was a class project for a film school, it would have been great work! But it's Netflix, and it's an utter disappointment.
Magnetic (2018)
Couldn't finish it
It started off promising. But then turned out to be a vacation movie about a bunch of men-children who like to ski, surf, and more surf. Very boring. Watching those guys trying to justify their leisure by some deep cliche after-thought was cringe worthy. Had to turn it off and find a real documentary.
