Nope (2022)
Find your own answers
The talent on show in this movie is extraordinary. Daniel Kaluuya has a scene sitting at a steering wheel, says one word, and is mesmerising. Keke Palmer is great fun as the free spirited heroine. The supporting cast all nail there singular characters. Jordan Peele has made a film with lots of questions and pretty much no answers, and it's great. It's so nice to leave the cinema not having a clue what on earth has just happened. It's a snapshot, make up your own answers, it's all there if you want it.
The Horror is anxiety inducing, the Western is a huge step away from anything we've had this century, the comedy is dry; I could go on but it's a genre bending masterclass, luckily Peele doesn't just end up with brown on his palette after mixing up all the colours.
Poirot: The Dream (1989)
The making of Poirot
This episode is the one where Suchet absolutely nails the character. There are bits and pieces in the previous episodes but this is the one where you can see it all really come together for him.
Not the most exciting of stories but watching Suchet's masterclass is more than enough to satisfy.
