I love Poirot usually, and I enjoyed the location and music in this episode. The whodunnit was compelling as ever. Unlike some I don't find his Catholicism problematic.
My problem with this episode is that the murder victims are just awful. Both these women violently abused little children, and are impossible to feel sorry for. So when Poirot does the 'revelations' at the end, and especially when he gets angry about it, it's just hard to be on his side. In fact you kind of wish he'd kept his delightfully moustachioed mouth shut, rather than destroy this traumatised family still further. Just ruined it for me tbh.
