My People (2023)
Accomplished the seemingly impossible
With My People, Rezan has accomplished the seemingly impossible:
She has brought hope and balance to the recounting of the horror of the Holocaust. The film makes it accessible but also comprehensible.
But this is not a holocaust film.
It is a story about humanity ,love, choices and inspires a global message.
While the narrative is also presenting interviews with people who lived through the Holocaust, My People has a very cinematic approach that makes it real again. Even more impressively, it is taking movies to their highest moral value.
As this film's messages feel more important than ever, demanding its audience to experience important parts of history while realizing that the past is present and the future is now, we all do have choices that can make this world a better place.
