Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004)
Thoughts of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind: No Spoilers
What a great film!. A number of people in the theater spoke as if
they hated it at the end, one said "Blair Witch made more since than that!" It does seem as if the movie is slow to start, but even in parts that seemed slow I was drawn to watch and not look away for fear of missing something. Once we enter Joel's memory is when a smile came on my face and didn't leave the rest of the picture. I was completely into the movie, you probably could have shot me in the chest and I wouldn't have taken my eyes off the screen.
The movie was so different, so un-hollywood, so unlike the three comic book movies coming soon to theaters sometime this year that were being advertised in the lobby, it was a movie that almost dared you to think about the ideas it presented and expand on it. 10/10
The Gnomes' Great Adventure (1987)
I loved this show
I can remember watching this show as a child. I always thought the show was
very cool, and can remember how each gnome had a different colored hat to
show that they all had different jobs. I also remember how the trolls would turn to stone if the sun came out. It use to come on Nick around noon, right before Pinwheel. You'de be hard pressed to find or see it now, but it does leave good memories.
Thir13en Ghosts (2001)
I can' wait for the DVD, I can't wait for the rental, I can't believe it's over.
This is a great movie. Up until the end. The tension builds and builds only to be cut off. You are then dropped from the highest point of energy and action to the end credits. What a waste. This movie could of been so much more. A quick rework of the script would have greatly helped this film. Staring Shannon Elizabeth from American Pie for all of three scenes. The basis of the movie was good, but the package was damaged. There is one great special effect in this movie to watch for! The opening credits cast shadows on the wall! That only was worth the $7.50 I paid....wasn't it?
Scary Movie 2 (2001)
My Popcorn Tastes Funny!
Great parody movie! Although Ray and Brenda somehow return from the dead to appear in the movie it was really great! I loved the opening sequence..Priceless! There were times where I found myself sitting there waiting for something to happen. Mainly when Tori Spelling was trying to act I found myself looking around. Other than a bad casting move with Tori the movie rocks. Go see it and don't start on your popcorn until the first sequence is over. -PR
