Nu jing cha (1973)
a disgrace to the name of Kung Fu films!
I saw this movie on sale and it was cheap so i bought it. the DVD case has Jackie Chan all over it saying that this was a rare forgotten classic! Yeah right! my ass! (pardon my language!) All i saw was bad dubbing, bad acting, slow and boring fight scenes and Jackie doesn't even in it that much! When he is he is running around with a huge spot on his face which is embarrassing. I felt sorry for Chan and all the actors because they will always be ashamed by the fact they starred in this trash! It has the worst fight scenes ever! there very very slow and tiresome. I will never watch that disgrace of a Kung Fu movie ever again! such a waste of time and money. so glad that when i bought this, it was cheap. I wish i never bought it. So, if you are a Jackie Chan fan like me, don't be fooled by the cover! Jackie is barley in it!when he is, the directors and writers make him look stupid and embarrassingly! I'm so glad that he wasn't the main role because that would be a bad start to his early carrier! If anyone actually wants to watch this, god help them! they are making a mistake! They have been fooled and cheated by the DVD cover! hopefully this movie will be banned for being so crap and trashy!
Kei zik (1989)
brill but could of been shorter!
This movie is funny and has excellent fight scenes which are very well done! But there isn't a great deal of action here. there is about four or five and needs a bit more to keep it entertaining but i'm not complaining about the few but great fights! just that it is a little long and could of been cut down a bit. there is good humour as well as the little but excellent fights and all in all i give it a 9. the only thing that lets it down is that it is a little too long and there isn't a great deal fights. the few fights are some of Jackies best work though! I would actually recommend this to any Jackie fan but warn that it is a little too long! still very good! Get it on video or DVD if its' cheap (just in case it is too long and you don't like it for that) or watch it if it appears on telly and see what you think. Chan fans will like it. it would be a great example of Jackies' brilliant Martial arts and humour. it is very styled and like i said contains Jackies' action and humour. but any way, it is one of those things that people will love if it is there type of thing! if it isn't, you will hate it!
