442oons (2013)
Biased
Guy Dean Stobbart should really change the title of the show Liverpool Fan TV. Guy not hiding his bias and saltiness in his recent vids, not mentioning the recent vids have been monotonous and unfunny, just repeating old cliche jokes and some recent memes.
Dean has been talented when he used to create those classics like the MSN123 and World Cup 14 videos. Back then those 442oons comedies were harsh but ingenious, creating their own jokes and memes.
But since 19-20 season something changed in Dean's head, before then Liverpool was the same joke resources like other clubs in 442oons, but after Liv won the UCL, he fell in love with Liv and Jurgen Klopp. Everything after then has shown the superior that Liv have toward other clubs, whether it's City United Real Barca Atleti and so on. Every joke Klopp had need to be revenged, every rival of Liverpool would be unjustified. Not to mention almost every player in Liverpool had a plastic surgery in 442oons videos.
Also guy has been lack of creativity since Mike left tje groop. Just watch the kit in 442oons, they used to have creativity in it, not they are just some cloth with a line of word. And you can see more and more dubless videos, it's laziness.
In all, guy used to be talented, but now he is lazy, uncreative, saltier and saltier, biased. 1star indeed.
Should've been shut at 2019.
The Nostalgia Critic: Jack and Jill (2018)
Wasted opportunity
Bad films worth to review is fewer and fewer as this series continue. And this one could be a chance. And NC fell flat. Jokes are about "Why it's not funny", but you know THE WHOLE WORLD KNOW IT ISN'T FUNNY AT ALL. The focus is wrong, man. And in this terrible film the only scene that make me laugh is when David Spade mentioned Rob Schneider, it could make a lot of fun to roast that scene, but NC neglect it. Sum it up, it's a wasted opportunity to make a hilarious episode.
Wonder Woman 1984 (2020)
Not good, but do make something...kinda
What they did right:
1: The opening gymnastic scenes. It's genetic, exciting, elegant, and do express a good message (But leave little impact to the movie after)
2: The message of the movie. "Uncontroled human desires brings chaos, even nobody, so we should embrace what we have now and be grantful" Despite whether this message want to deliver some other meanings, the movie expressed it right. All the plots are following on Max's out-of-controlled desire, and the others' also made influence.
3: Some symbolic scenes like when they flew to sky above the fireworks, make their senses.
What they did wrong:
1: MILLIONS I MEAN MILLIONS of plot holes never explained. How can we know everyone give up their wishes! We do certainly know Max's kid never took his wish back! And why Barbara just transformed into cheetah out of nowhere! And how the wish "I want to be the stone itself" achieved! Why monkey claws are included in the movie! Why the strong shinny armor just worn out after some kitty smashes! Why Steve came back in that way! Where did the guy Steve took his body go and what happened to him! Why he feels nothing at the end of the movie and just say hello to Diana like nothing happened between them! If the plot holes are actually holes they are going to eat the Mount Qomolangma.
2: ALL I MEAN ALL of the jokes aren't funny. I feel more and more awkward during the first half of the movie, seeing it thought itself delightfully quirky but just use some old old cliches to fill audience's minds. Oh someone from the past came to nowadays and feel himself not fitting into the world and went on some awkward moments in his life, I'VE NEVER SEEN IT BEFORE THANK YOU! Someone want to pretend himself an known-all at art but misunderstood a trash can as a statue, I'VE NEVER SEEN IT BEFORE THANK YOU! And why do Max Lord who shares no same face with Donald being intentionally designed to look alike Donald, wait you mean that's pop culture reference well I'VE NEVER SEEN IT BEFORE THANK YOU! And give you a reminder, IT TAKES PLAYS IN 1984! You should know that, becauce YOU JUST PUT "1984" ON YOUR TITLE! How can any of those jokes work!
3: LAME I MEAN LAME action scenes. Wonder Woman, versus Cheetah, I never thought that could be that lame. You do take many experience from Suicide Squad and Ang Lee's Hulk to let the biggest action scene take place in a dark lightless night so that we can barely see any actions in it. WHY, are you afraid to show how bad your action flick is! YOU ARE MAKING ME MISS SNYDER & BAY! At least we can get some GOOD action scenes from them! And Cheetah is LAME. Just some cat claw attacks and get defeated immediately. And the armor is LAME. Yeah, some cat claw attacks just make it broken! And why Diana shows nothing to electricity in the water and the same powerful Barbara just get stroke for that...I don't even want to ask. Just make it eats another part of Mount Qomolangma.
4: COFUSING I MEAN COFUSING the motivations and plot logics. We know Max just want to be a man who can be a thing, and through his acts I can feel it. But Barbara's motivation, I know she envies Diana but why she just turn evil out of nowhere! Just because a bum trys to offend her. That's what I can think as a reason. And by the help of "convenient global satellite machine for brain dead directors", heroine and villians get their final fight. And after that unbearable bad lazy action scene, you told me that Diana managed to persuade Max, who is full of desire of taking over the world and got insane about it. And as I'm trying to reluctantly accept it, you told me Diana managed to persuade I MEAN TALKING! To let the whole population give up their desires. ....... I am, you know, CONFUSED.
These are the major problems. Small problems are more, like Why we have to have Steve in this movie, Some horrible acting, and the minimum of actions in a superheroine film, and why Diana tease Clark in the sky. Just typing those works is making me more and more angry that I just lowered my rating from 6 to 5. But as it has SOME good things in it and actors and actresses are mostly decent, I choose not to lower the rating again. BUT WAKE UP DC AND WARNER. Just WAKE UP. At least bring something like Man Of Steel or the first Wonder Woman movie to us again.
The Nostalgia Critic: The FREAKIEST Raggedy Ann Movie (2021)
Maybe a new way to watch
What I want to say is that yes, it isn't funny enough. But something is changing in Doug's mind, I think. This episode is a decent introduction of Raggedy Ann and Andy, and the subtitle is that 'freak show' thing, which made me think that through years, maybe Doug want to change things in a new way. Not necessarily funny, but introducing something interesting. And maybe, I say maybe it will be more close to what a 'Nostalgia Critic' should do. So I give an 8, to see if this way could be a new way for making the series better.
Suburban Commando (1991)
An entertainingly bad film
The movie is generally not a good one, but some of the ideas are clever. And everybody here are trying to giving a kinda sci-fi comedy (That especially goes to Christopher Lloyd). To be frank, it is funny. Not all going to the real comedy parts, but some crazy or hard trying acting. And maybe that's just the movie's purpose. So I think it had hit its aim in a bizarre but effective way. Not a good movie, but you can get a giggle time to time, and its message is harmless. So I think it deserves an OK 6/10 rate (5.5, exactly).
The Nostalgia Critic: Is White Washing Really Still a Thing? (2016)
No.
Just no. Stop talk about anything politic related.
