Rocky V (1990)
Rocky bankrupt due to a corrupt accountant. LOL
I have been watching the Rockys again cause my gf hadn't seem em' yet. I know, she lived a very sheltered life before meeting me.
Now to the film, if u can call it that. The film starts with Rocky returning from Russia after trouncing Dolph Lungren. He is immediately stalked by a Don King type with someone already challenging the aging fighter.
Rocky's accountant takes all of his money and assets and leaves town. Leaving the Rocky family destitute. They move out of their mansion-like home and show back up at his apartment from the first Rocky.
This is where is gets completely assine. I won't spoil it for u but his kid argues with Rocky a lot. I would have punched him and I've never punched anyone. Paulie is still leching off Rocky and drinks and drinks. They should have gave this character the axe after the first one.
Why would a world champion of anything carry a loser, drunk around with him and support him.
The new boxer that he trains which was cool becomes an ungrateful two year old and they end up in the streets at the end.
Please do not waste your time, even a second with this film. U know I love u Sly, but u should have never released this one until it was right on so many levels that it wasn't.
And Happy 76th Sly today! Just like the Philly 76er's.
Top Gun: Maverick (2022)
Best Sequel Ever
Tom Cruise had done again with this film. He is the best in the film biz to push a movie and its characters to their limits to going over their limits. I just wish he didn't belong to Ron Hubbard's Cult that lead him to cut his wife at the time and his daughter, Suri out of his life. Connelly and Tom had great chemistry. Where has she been hiding?
The Haunting of Sharon Tate (2019)
Hillary Duff was at her Best
Duff's portrayal of the "character" of Tate in this movie was brilliant, even award winning. She had tough scenes to plow through and she was incredible. Tyler Jackson (was Theo on Y&R until last year) surprised me as Manson's right hand killer, Tex Watson.
Candy (2022)
Completely Ridiculous!
Do not waste your time watching this series. This a true story that should not have seen the light of day. It sends bad messaging all over the place. The ending is the icing on the cake which is completely nonsense.
Conversations with a Killer: The John Wayne Gacy Tapes (2022)
Not a filthy Democrat!
I just read the review. JWG and I am astonished at the author's ignorance, calling Rosalynn Carter a "low life", come on. Just like the Democrats at that time and everybody else that dealt with Gacy, it wasn't their fault they didn't detect Gacy's private world.
I would have like to hear from Gacy's first wife after Gacy is arrested in 78' and his latest wife, until early 76'. I don't understand how Gacy was able to torture and murder the young men while his wife was in the home. He started his murdering spree in 72', the same year he married his 2nd wife.
Uncut Gems (2019)
More Julia, less Adam
Unfortunately, I paid 3.99 to survive this crappy unfilm. This unfilm about uncut gems should've been cut in the editor's office and saved anyone from having to survive through it. The only positive force for this unfilm is Julia Fox, love her. Go back to comedy Adam but not films about grownups, please. Thanks.
Spiral: From the Book of Saw (2021)
Chris Rock Rocks it!
When I rented this film, I really didn't know it was part of the Saw films. I didn't realize it until the first victim and I was pleasantly surprised. I really couldn't believe how Rock acted, I didn't even know he acted but he was believable and awesome. The ending is great, something I didn't see coming and it is hard to trick me.
The 355 (2022)
Hot Mamma Diane Kruger
U would think with Cruz and Chastain that u wouldn't be looking at a third beautiful woman, Kruger. She has the breasts to kill. Look out! I was bored by the film.
Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance) (2014)
Keaton
First off, I loved the cast. I think they gelled perfect together. Keaton really should've won the Oscar for this role. He plays multiple roles and it was so impressive.
Deep Water (2022)
Ana is the sexiest and coolest
I think Ana did a fabulous job in every minute of the film. Ben, though, looked the same throughout the movie. It was obvious that he didn't trust his wife and it showed on his face, the entire movie. And who collects snails?
Dopesick (2021)
Poor ending
It was a very good series, but it ended with so many questions and situations remaining. Dever was absolutely incredible. She is so under rated. Michael Keaton was as strong as ever. I think Keaton is only getting better with time. It made me think for the first time in my 55 years about the dangerous of mining.
Boys on the Side (1995)
Not good
I was expecting more from this film than what I got, for sure. I really watched it to see a younger Drew Barrymore. In the mid 90's, she was hot as hell. She even flashed Letterman on his show. She flashed again in this film, thank u. I really couldn't even recognize Mary Louise Parker. She looked like a 15 y/o and she was in her early 30's. I was also surprised by Whoopi's singing and she looked good at 40. Not now, of course.
Don't Look Up (2021)
Too cheesy
I felt for the main characters and their total frustration in getting a very vital message out. I have the same frustration in my personal life with gov't entities not even opening the door a crack to listen to me. I thought Jennifer's character was very weak and especially toward the end of the film when she makes a ridiculous decision.
Mayor of Kingstown (2021)
Fantastic Series
I am all caught up on S1 and absolutely love it. I thought I wouldn't find a series that would top "Money Heist" (5 parts) but "Mayor" comes close. Renner is brilliant, but he could smoke a little less for me. There is a lot of T and A in this series, but I like that. Can't wait for the next episode this Sunday, I believe.
Jungle Cruise (2021)
Haven't Seen it Yet, Have Questions
Does Rock kiss Emily? Why would this movie cost 200m to make? That is like one of the highest budgeted movies ever. I visited Walt Disney World as a pre teen and thought it was the most boring place. I rode that jungle cruise which was a total young kid's ride. I will never understand the fascination with the parks.
Hanna (2019)
Loved every season
Season 3 was the best by far. The dynamics between the leads are just incredible. I didn't want it to end. I watched the whole season 3 in one sitting. Now what's next for Hannah"
The Protégé (2021)
I enjoyed it
I read the review on the first page about this film having actors over 70, kicking some ass. I find it harder to believe that Maggie Q would have sex with a 70 y/o. Keaton. Sorry Michael, but your love making days are over. I thoroughly enjoyed the film. It had a great pace to it and excellent characters and it was good to see Maggie Q. She is damn hot and great at what she does.
Till Death (2021)
Fox is very foxy
Megan, is one of the most beautiful women in the world, bar none. Not sure why she is currently dating a white type rapper boy. He is gross. But back to this flick, she was very purposeful and driven. She is caught in a very tough spot and realistically, for the most part does a superb job, staying alive or not?
Die Hard (1988)
My #1
Die Hard has been my favorite movie since 88'. It has never changed. Shawshank Redemption came close but Bruce just does more for me than Tim, even though I am a look-a-like for Robbins. Die Hard has it all and then some! This should have won best picture over Rain Man and Willis should have won best actor for his role as John. Richman should have won for best supporting actor and John McTiernan for best director and the two writers for best screenplay. Yes, Die Hard was that great and should have been rewarded for that greatness!
The Last Letter from Your Lover (2021)
Best Love Story Ever
I really enjoyed and adored this movie. How the story was intertwined by two women's' stories, both equally interesting and tantalizing. Shailene and Felicity were spectacular and the men were good too. Loved it!
I Still Believe (2020)
Heart Touching, Soul Touching
Best movie that I have seen since Shawshank Redemption in 94'. The emotion that is created by this story is overwhelming. I always wanted to love somebody like this but wasn't able to pull it off. Britt, u are the best!
Tell Me Your Secrets (2021)
Addictive
I can't say enough about how good this series is. I had been looking for a good series after finishing "Hung". I love seeing Amy B. again. I haven't seen her since "Judging Amy". I really like Lily Rabe. She is very cool. Thanks for the great work guys!
Vinyl (2016)
What a Hit
What a shame that HBO didn't pick Vinyl up for another season. I mean it is cruel to Vinyl fans not to bring back these cast of characters and the MUSIC!
I loved every bit of this series from episode one to the 10th. I gave it a 10 which I hold out only for the very best and this was the very best! Congrats!
The Rhythm Section (2020)
Good flick
I love Blake. She is the coolest. The tension that she had between herself and B was great. I am glad it wasn't the predictable end up as a couple deal.
Locked Down (2021)
Creatively genius
Ann and the male lead worked well together and apart. Really with not much of a script or plot, Ann made it work. She makes anything work!
