Tony (2018)
A movie requiring Word of Mouth publicity
I don't want to spoil the interest for the people who want to view this, so not going ng to review it on the basis of story. As a viewer it is easy to judge a movie by its treatment, music, known and famous actors, international locations, unrealistic action and thriller sequences. But this movie deserves atleast one watch, not because of the sad irony or I should say harsh reality of Bollywood for director Vipul K. Rawal (who is also the writer and producer), but for the hard work, skilled film making and beautiful and realistic story line. Yes, you can feel the absence of good acting for most of the cast, but the reality is maximum of the them faced camera for the first time. This might not be a 'Wow', but clearly not bad.
Underwhelming Aspects: Acting, slow pace at start.
Overwhelming Aspect: Story, Script writing, pace after first 30 minutes, Direction, No Song, No love interests, connected to its core story making. And all this in a mere budget of 75 Lacs.
Story 9 Months Ki (2020)
A promising start lead to a disaster
I am happy that the makers of the show decided to wrap it up. The show started on a promising note showcasing the struggle of a common man finding his foothold in a totally strange place. Sarangdhar is an aspiring writer who has reached a big city from a small town to find his worth as an author. In search of his desires he meet different people who support him emotionally and mentally. On the other hand, there is a girl called Alia, who is owning an advertising agency, she is successful, but not happy. Her parents conflict made her thinking practically and never use emotions, which affects her relationship with her husband and hence leads to their divorce. Now she in search of solace decides to have a baby using IVF without knowing that Sarangdhar is her donor. In between some bittersweet moments among Alia and Sarangdhar, when he finds a job in her agency, they start to fall for each other. Finally they marry and from this point the story started to fall apart. Sarangdhar's father who is having estranged relationship with his son starts to plan and plot against the newly wed and in this their enters Sarangdhar buaji, played by Kavita Vaid. Since then story started dragging with an illogical leap as well.
Baa Bahoo Aur Baby (2005)
A show for everyone
A show for everyone. No melodrama, no over the edge scriptwriting.
