Harry Potter: Hogwarts Tournament of Houses (2021)
Easy breezy (beautiful- covergirl)
A very American quiz show which I fully thought was British but I don't think it is but it makes me feel the Americans are not as alien as they seem. We have so much in common. This has nice vibes and is fun. The questions are so easy a lot of fans will be offended but it's a lovely easy to watch innocent Christmas view. I love Helen mirren so was biased from the start.
OtherLife (2017)
Rekall 2.0
Sometimes you just find the right movie at the right time. Great new addition to my viewing library. This film is NOT convoluted nor low budget by appearance as some of these reviews say. Yes it does get a bit cloudy in the middle and I was worrying about being confused but it all makes sense in the end. It was like a modern version of Total Rekall but in a very real, AI progressive world like ours where we seldom question if we need to stop the advancement immediately. So it totally makes sense especially if you love Sci fi. Ultimately this film is making a point. And I couldn't agree more. Great watch great acting I was engaged throughout. Very well done.
Don't Look Up (2021)
Let's get one thing right
This film is absolutely not worthy of its current rating of 7.something. The truth is the beginning and the end are the best bits. The rest is all just a bit meh. One of those films that by the time you realise it's boring, you've come to the point where you need to see it through so you're just kinda waiting for the climax. If it cut out the politics this could have been a mega Sci fi armageddon flick. It may be a true depiction of how us little peoole would be treat were this a real story... but the "laughs" make the film reductive of itself... really the only hype is the fx. A listers alone cannot save a film. One of those films that were overrated by the establishment which leads to its high viewing rates amd then its own downfall. This film ruins itself. Terrible shame really.
And Just Like That... (2021)
One day...
... there will be nothing left to enjoy.
Unless you get your rocks off to politics.
At first I cringed. Then I started to enjoy. And then we went straight back to cringe and set up shop.
This should be a stand alone woke show with no connection to SATC.
Landscapers (2021)
Strewth
This is exhausting to watch, I found it quite tedious, its not funny - from any angle, it's not entertaining or interesting nor does it stand out as being particularly well made. For a true story I can only presume this has been made and told totally incorrectly??
What are you watching to be giving this such high marks. Are you a robot?

The Good Fight (2017)
Brilliant but don't watch S5.
5 lost the plot. No need to make the whole season about what it did. Totally lost interest.
Luckily I liked the other seasons so much that I would highly recommend they still watch those.
The Virtues (2019)
Where's this been hiding?!
Randomly found this on moviebox, never heard of it. Just what I was looking for. I've laughed hard n cried hard watching it. Fab production, acting, casting. Really gritty, with powerful moments and story. A pleasure to watch.
A short, sharp, impressive quality TV series.
[I'm just at the end of ep.3]
Page Eight (2011)
Crisp, classy and smart.
You don't get films like this from Hollywood. Its like a slow burn, but not so slow burn, edge of your seat kind of intelligent and quietly unapologetic unassailable unassuming drama. Fabulous script. Eyes peeled to the screen.
Do not watch if you are seeking high octane explosive stimulation. I am going straight to the other two in the Worricker Trilogy (Turks and Caicos & Salting the Battlefield)
Halston (2021)
Very good
Entertaining, binge worthy, fun, serious, quality production. Learnt a lot about something I had no idea about. Definitely recommend.
Motherland (2016)
Funny
The dark humour is right up my street. These days i find myself hard pressed for a laugh that genuinely hits the nail on the head. This is exactly what I need.
The Serpent (2021)
A decent watch
Decent series, well told and acted. More of a crime drama. I would barely call it a thriller or "dark" like some have.
It does jump back and forth alot, but unlike other productions it tells you each and every time when it has done so. Which seems a bit like overkill but I guess it aids those who might find the feature helpful. It all adds up along the way.
Perhaps feels a bit slow toward the end, episode 7 I was bored.
