Chucky: Little Little Lies (2021)
Dark and fun!
Dark and humorous fun that blends old and new in ways that isn't convoluted but makes this little toy a lot more threatening. The editing was a bit off at times, but that wasn't enough to downgrade this episode.
Chucky: Just Let Go (2021)
Suspenseful and fun.
With the illusion of multiple Chuckys, and his epic redesign, this episode serves as a fun thrilling ride that leaves you excited for where things will go.
Chucky (2021)
Absolutely groundbreaking.
Let me start off by saying this series is definitely meant to not be taken that seriously, it's purposely satire that's VERY dark and creepy. It's funny, scary, but most importantly, compelling. It's a fast paced drama that doesn't try hard to be a slow burn or anything like that, it gets right to the point of the playfulness of our villain, Chucky. He absolutely makes this show great and if i'm being honest, the drama is entertaining enough to the point where if it wasn't about Chucky, I would still watch it. Most of the negative reviews you will see are insecure bigots whining about how "woke" the show despite sexuality literally being the most irrelevant thing in this episodes. In short, great storytelling, great cinematography, wonderful animatronics, and addicting.
Orphan (2009)
The result of creative and fresh thinking.
A unique twist on the usual "Evil Child" an "Fem fatale trying to take another woman's family" trope that makes Orphan itself a very powerful force along with the great mood and atmosphere that lets you know this isn't a cheesy film. Esther is a chilling and effective villain who is not afraid to hold back, and in some cases, kill. And Kate, the sad wife falling into madness as Esther's manipulations work on her husband, is an effective protagonist which makes it hard to root for just one of them. Overall, this movie is perfect and the prequel will be even better.
