Aurora Teagarden Mysteries: Something New (2023)
Worst so far
This cinematic offering is a colossal failure. The decision to replace the principal performers was a catastrophic misstep, as the new thespians appear to be lacking the necessary talent to deliver performances equivalent to their predecessors. Despite the significance of the younger iterations of the characters to the narrative, this movie ultimately falters. The challenge of replacing esteemed, seasoned actors is not to be underestimated, and it is presumptuous to assume the audience will be accepting of it. It is my hope that the movie's producers will take heed and reenlist the original cast (Candace Cameron Bure and Peter Benson) for future installments. Given that the marquee actors have been the Hallmark of this franchise, it is reasonable to expect their return to their iconic roles. In the interim, we recommend avoiding this sequel altogether.
Dream Moms (2023)
Not worth anyone's time.
The movie is an absolute disappointment, lacking any redeeming qualities or interesting plot points. From poor acting to cringe-worthy dialogue, it fails to engage the audience. There are no moments of excitement or emotion, leaving viewers feeling bored and uninvolved. It is difficult to find anything positive to say about this film, as it falls short in almost every aspect. Overall, it is a regrettable experience not worth anyone's time. I was expecting a fun movie night, which this was certainly not. Despite the increasing use of a particular form, professional standards are being neglected and are lower than ever before. It is indeed a disheartening experience for individuals who are passionate about cinema.
Love in the Limelight (2022)
You simply do not want to miss this movie
An excellent movie with perfect actors. He exceeded all my expectations. Hallmark has quality movies, but this is next level. Not a single scene is boring, there is no feeling that this is just an old cliché with new actors. Alexa and Carlos PenaVega brought a special magic. Their energy and mutual interaction make this movie a special pleasure. The love they feel for acting is visible in every scene. Their every movement and every sentence reveals how much they love their job and how much they enjoy it. In short, excellent actors who excelled this time as well.
The Provocateur (2022)
A movie you'll wish you hadn't even started watching
Excellent and well done. A huge effort was invested in the realization of this film. The producer and director tried their best to ruin this movie. The main actors made a superhuman effort to make their so-called acting as unconvincing and superficial as possible. 10 minutes of this movie seems like an eternity. What a relief when it was over! Kudos to the entire team - you managed to make a film that is impossible to forget. Guaranteed worst performance of the year.
Rip in Time (2022)
Why I spent my time on this movie?? :(
When producers and directors run out of creativity, the result is a movie like this. The movie is not memorable in any way, you will watch it today and forget it tomorrow. The last 15 minutes are the best part, although the end is predictable. The whole script is very reminiscent of a similar Hallmark movie "A Timeless Christmas" which is far better.
Wolf Hound (2022)
Don't miss this movie!
Pretty solid film, no matter the duration. Definitely one of the better ones in this category. If obvious technical omissions are ignored, well spent two hours. T. Donovan stands out from the cast. I'm surprised he was able to play a role like this and he did it more than great.
The Stranger She Brought Home (2021)
If you're looking for a great movie, then this is it!
Perfect movie for afternoon/evening relaxation. Tense and interesting to the very end. More than a great performance by Cameron Jebo in this unusual role for him. There are not many actors capable of playing such a complex, dark role. Cameron Jebo certainly succeeded in that and that's what makes this movie so special and worth watching.
You Had Me at Aloha (2021)
Always just the best of the Hallmark production
A remarkable new Hallmark movie. Fun, dynamic and witty until the last minute. The choice of actors could not be better. Excellent Pascale Hutton and the best edition of Kavan Smith. They simply clicked on the camera, the chemistry between the two of them is more than obvious. Their acting, especially Kavan Smith in his best role so far makes this movie special and memorable. In short, a great 90 minutes.
Sweet Carolina (2021)
Very disappointing
A waste of time. Most of the film is monotonous and boring, even great actors don't contribute to the "wow" effect. The director (Peter Benson) ruined a potentially great story.
The Wrong Prince Charming (2021)
The wrong lifetime movie evening
A good but average movie. The wrong lifetime movies used to be extraordinary, memorable. The whole story lacks an element of surprise. From the very beginning it is clear who the villain is, his every step can be easily predicted. The end of the movie is predictable-again
