I (2008)
A sweet and heartbreaking moment where everything could change
"Shyness can stop you, from doing all the things in life you'd like to". Beautifully shot in black and white, this almost silent film (there's 2 lines) shows the love affair that could have been. If only...if only. Gorgeous cinematography also. It makes you want to shout "open the door...just open the door..." 10/10.
A Silent Killer: Savita's Story (2014)
Powerful, Affecting, Brutally honest
This docu-drama was amazing in that it did minute to minute renactments of the events that caused this woman to die. This story was the biggest story in Ireland for months - Racism, Catholicism, Abortion were all shouting in the headlines. No one knew what really happened until this documentary. Each day was broken down minute by minute and it showed clearly how things went tragically wrong for this woman. From one mistake to the next, it was both tragic, extremely unfortunate and a very rare event. It also showed how wrong the papers got it.
Your Bad Self (2010)
Truly Awful
I watched the first 2 episodes and it was annoyed me it was so unfunny. Really bad no humour flat comedy. Domhnall Gleeson had a few funny tics, Michael McElhatton is a great comedy actor (Paths to Freedom): as is Peter McDonald, but this sketch show was so sketchy on comedy it made me want to throw up. I think I got it removed from RTE it was so bad. Not even good bad, just bad. Should just have been called Your Bad Comedy Show.
