Last Light (2022)
'Sneakers' for eco-terrorists
I enjoyed the first four episodes, but like many other reviewers, the conclusion was rushed and dissatisfying. If you've seen 'Sneakers' (Redford/Kingsley), the relationship between protagonist and antagonist is much the same. However, in this case, the antagonist wins (so to speak), and we're supposed to accept that this made the world better? Millions, potentially billions would have died, but we're all happy because somehow we made it work and made the world better. The science of the recovery is highly implausible because it would take oil to power much of the creation, manufacturing, and building of all these amazing systems that would replace the use of oil.
The Lost Symbol (2021)
Enjoyable so far
There's a good amount of intrigue mixed with a bit of WTF? Just one note for NBC/Universal: THERE SHOULD NOT BE AN APOSTROPHE IN "It's cryptic text..."! The opening frame of the show, and somebody needs an editor.
Malignant (2021)
Couldn't decide what it should be
One part tried to be a supernatural mystery, another part a psychological thriller, and a third part a campy gore fest. Wan should have picked one and stuck with it. Also, yes, there are a lot of fake 10-star reviews on here.
