Smart House (1999)
not great but not bad either
It's not a bad movie. The story's interesting, the acting is alright. It's got a lot of things in it that are unrealistic, but that doesn't make it bad (I mean how realistic is The Wizard of Oz or Planet of the Apes) It's pretty good for a made for TV movie, I'd say. If it's on TV and you've got nothing better to do, I would recommend watching it.
Super Mario Bros. (1985)
CLASSIC!
After playing Atari for years, NES was like heaven. I think everyone who owns/owned a Nintendo has played SMB. Hell I even had my mom playing it once, although she wasn't very good. I thought this game was impossible to beat when I was a kid (while my brother sat there bragging about how he played through every level in 10 minutes) but now I sorta laugh cause I've passed it multiple times. It's an awesome game that I will never forget. (Yes, when I'm 80 I'll be telling my grandchildren about the good old NES days with this game called Super Mario Bros...and they'll tell me how ancient I am and how primitive video games were then...although I'll probably be able to kick their butts at whatever video games people are playing then, if I don't have arthritis that is, so it's all good...but anyways...) Kudos to Nintendo for making NES, THE console at it's time, and a classic. (btw did you know that Nintendo started as a sticker company? Then they made the VERY smart move of going into video games...I know that has no relevance to anything whatsoever but I find it interesting)
Supa Mario RPG (1996)
Love Mario? Love RPGs? You'll love this!
Will Bowser ever tire of kidnapping Princess Toadstool? Apparently not. But that's OK because this game is great. Mario has found ways to kill enemies other than jumping on them or shooting them (although he still does both in this game) Build levels, gain attacks, get weapons and armor, all that stuff that you always have in RPGs. There are all sorts of interesting characters you meet up with, and by the end you have quite the motley crew (including the princess and Bowser, yes Bowser)
Super Mario Bros. 2 (1988)
What happens when you stick a Mario label on a game that isn't Mario?
This game is what you get. Now it's really not a bad game. Fun, challenging, etc. But it's just not Mario. This has got to be the worst Mario game. Not that it's bad, but it does not live up to the other Mario games. The story is unMarioish (I make up words a lot) and hey, how can you have a Mario game without blocks to smash his head on? Luckily Nintendo saved its butt with Mario 3 and Mario games on other consoles.
