This franchise is beyond a joke now
17 June 2023
Fast and Furious 9 was a major disappointment. The storyline felt forced, with ridiculous plot twists that were hard to swallow. The characters lacked depth, and their motivations were unclear. The action sequences were over-the-top and unrealistic, even for a franchise known for its high-octane stunts. The dialogue was cringe-worthy, filled with cheesy one-liners and predictable clichés. Overall, it was a mindless and forgettable film that failed to capture the magic of the earlier installments. The excessive use of CGI took away from the practicality and authenticity that made the earlier movies so enjoyable. It felt like a shallow attempt to milk the franchise for more money rather than delivering a compelling story.

The Flash (I) (2023)
7/10
Electrifying Journey
14 June 2023
Warning: Spoilers
The Flash movie was an exhilarating ride from start to finish! As a fan of the Scarlet Speedster, I couldn't wait to see how his story would unfold on the big screen, and it did not disappoint. The film's plot was cleverly crafted, blending time travel, multiverses, and intense action sequences seamlessly.

Ezra Miller's portrayal of Barry Allen was spot-on. He captured the character's youthful energy, wit, and determination perfectly. The chemistry between Miller's Flash and his fellow Justice League members, including Ben Affleck's Batman and Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman, was electric and added an extra layer of excitement to the film.

The visual effects were nothing short of spectacular. The way the film showcased the Flash's super speed and time manipulation abilities was mind-blowing. Each action sequence was meticulously choreographed, and the slow-motion shots were a visual treat.

What really stood out was the emotional depth of the story. The Flash's personal journey and the exploration of his tragic past added a poignant and relatable element to the film. It wasn't just about the flashy powers; it was about the human behind the mask.

The movie did justice to the iconic Rogues Gallery of villains as well. From Reverse-Flash to Captain Cold, each antagonist brought their unique brand of menace, and their confrontations with the Flash were intense and satisfying.

However, there were a few moments where the pacing felt a bit rushed, and some plot points could have been further developed. Additionally, the introduction of certain characters from alternate universes might confuse viewers unfamiliar with the comics.

Overall, though, The Flash movie was an electrifying and emotional journey that every fan of the Scarlet Speedster should experience. It's a testament to the character's enduring legacy and leaves you eagerly anticipating what's next for the Fastest Man Alive.

Bearly Entertaining: Cocaine Bear Fails to Snort Out Laughs
7 June 2023
Cocaine Bear is an average viewing experience that falls short of its intriguing premise. While based on a fascinating true story, the execution lacks depth and fails to capitalize on the potential for dark comedy. The pacing drags at times, and the characters lack development. The bear itself becomes a missed opportunity, with minimal screen time. The performances are decent, but the script feels underwhelming. The film attempts to blend humor and crime, but the balance feels off, leaving it in a mediocre middle ground. Overall, Cocaine Bear fails to deliver the entertaining and memorable experience it promises, leaving viewers with a sense of unfulfilled potential.

Manifest's Final Chapter: A Mix of Closure and Lingering Questions
7 June 2023
The ending of Manifest left me with mixed emotions. While it provided closure to some storylines, it left many questions unanswered. The rushed pacing and compressed resolution felt unsatisfying. However, the heartfelt character moments and the final revelation had a poignant impact. Despite the flaws, the performances remained stellar. Overall, I appreciate the show's attempt to tie up loose ends, but I can't help but feel a sense of longing for a more comprehensive and fulfilling conclusion. Despite the shortcomings, Manifest will be remembered for its intriguing premise, engaging characters, and the way it kept viewers guessing until the very end. It's a bittersweet conclusion that will leave fans pondering the mysteries long after the final episode fades to black.
