Hold It! Hold It!
21 May 2024
Warning: Spoilers
I...I object, I object. Says Uncle Manny (Milton Berle) as he walks through the doors into the courtroom.

Judge - "You object to what?" Uncle Manny - "To those electric doors in the Men's room." Judge - "That's the elevator".

Excellent stuff. Actually quite a few corny jokes in court but they land very well.

Judge...frustrated - "Ms. Fine would you just like to plead?" Fran - "Yes I would. (Fran then gets on her knees to beg). Oh please, please don't send me to jail." Funny stuff.

Then Maxwell enters the courtroom to save the day and fares no better than Uncle Manny. Fun fact, Charles Shaughnessy, who plays Maxwell, actually has a law degree from Cambridge.

Last spoiler but they are in court due to a party thrown at the Sheffield mansion in his absence.....that got out of control.

Lots of laughs. An usual but excellent episode from Season 3.

What's Wrong With My Bird?
18 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
So many good episodes from Season 2 but this is my personal favorite.

Janet works overtime and isn't happy she didn't receive a cash bonus. Her boss gave her two tickets to a concert instead of money. ....but the concert is Frank Sinatra. The wheels in Jack's head are going and he mumbles Frank Sinatra is no EggMcMuffin. (Jack is trying to get a date with a Swedish girl but doesn't even have enough money to take her to McDonald's).

Chrissy would also love to see Sinatra. Chrissy feels she could have one ticket and Jack could have one ticket each and go together......but that would put a cramp in Jack's plan to use the 2nd ticket and ask the Swedish girl out. (We never see that girl). That's when the comedic chaos begins.

Jack and Chrissy compete for Janet's Frank Sinatra tickets throughout this episode, catering to Janet's every whim. (Some very funny stuff).

The B-plot is Mr. Roper buying Helen an anniversary gift. A bird to keep their bird company. (Hey, I thought there were no children & no pets) Three's Company never cared much about continuity. Of course, the last thing Helen would want is a bird for an anniversary gift.

Mr. Roper leaves the bird with the trio, so Helen won't see it & will be surprised. That creates quite a bit of comedy. It was hilarious seeing Mr. Roper eating bird seed.

Enough for now but a highly recommended episode!!!

Wesley's Revenge....
18 February 2022
This is one of the top episodes IMHO. It sets up Part II perfectly. Wesley doesn't mess around here.

No spoilers but lots of goofy humour here. Well played by the cast members and an interesting storyline.

Highly recommended.

A Blast From The Past

No spoilers here. An excellent episode in general. As you can see in the storyline Sam & Eddie get involved in a case in which Sam started her acting career.

Very well acted, written & directed.

Definitely recommended.

The Happy Cooker
15 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Lots of fun in this episode. Really, a short review couldn't do the episode justice. In the thumbnail we can see Mr. Furley in his chefs hat and apron. The apron is, of course, as tacky as can be, with "The Happy Cooker" written on it.

Lucia Bustamente turns out to be quite a surprise.

The scene with Mr. Bustamente and the man of no words, Floyd, is priceless.

We find out Janet is part Italian in the show. (Joyce DeWitt's mother was of Italian descent).

Lucia's glazed eyes are priceless while Chrissy continues to tell her idiotic stories in the kitchen.......that Lucia can't understand as she can't speak English.

An excellent episode!

My Choice For Critics
15 May 2021
Of the two episodes featuring critics, this was my favourite. In "Critics Choice" Jason LaFarge comes off as a real sleaze. (Still a good episode though). This episode has more laughs. Between the opening scene at the Bistro, Larry helping with Jack's letter, and of course, trying to retrieve the letter.

We don't get to see it very often as but it was nice to see the sexy Janet. Very sexy the way she sits down on Patrick Townsend's desk while trying to provide a distraction for Jack.
