Great little movie!

This was part of the series of Mini Classics at the time, and that's exactly what it is! It's short, but it's classic. I've watched it years ago, and I've loved it ever since. I can't wait for it to appear on DVD. Bad points? Well, sure, it's Disney, and that is clearly visible. But that just makes it a cute little tale. Animation is great, Scrooge is at his best, what more can I say? I can recommend this to everyone who has ever enjoyed for instance Fun and Fancy Free...

Crappy sequel... What else is new...

Like many sequels to Disney Classics, this sequel is lousy!!! Let's start with the good things. Almost the entire cast from the first movie returns. Actually, only Mary Wickes has been replaced, which is no surprise, since she is passed away... As for the new guys: Michael McKean is average as Sarousch. (This might have been a nice role for Tim Curry, though...) Jennifer Love Hewitt is very good as Madellaine! Also, her singing voice is magnificent! Haley Joel Osment has a good role too, but isn't as good as he was in Beauty and the Beast: A Magical Christmas. Now for the bad things. Character design sucks!!! Sarousch looks uglier then Quasi himself! The music sucks too. It has absolutely nothing in common with the church music from the first movie. Also, the special effects are lousy! The bell 'La fidele' should look like it has diamonds and juwels all over it. So it could have been shining like the sun. Instead, it is badly drawn... Actually, the entire animation is done crappy... and off course, the story... It's not as bad as it could have been! But certainly not worthy for a sequel to such a great movie!!!

In conclusion: Kids will like it. No person in the world will actually love it! Even if your a collector like me: don't buy it. In Holland it had one good thing: it came out 2 months earlier then in the US...

Good sequel!

Now this was a sequel well done! Robin Williams is back from the first movie and just as funny! I think they let him go loose a bit more... Which works nice! The music is totally different from the original. The Return of jafar had music that sounded a bit like the original music, but this has a totally different approach. The result is a very, very decent soundtrack! Nice songs, though not impressive. Animation has some flaws, but all and all very well drawn, too! The new characters are fun, I just love Cassim!!! However, I don't like the characterdesign of Sa'Luk... But maybe that's just me...

All things considered, this is a very good sequel!!!

Highlander: Endgame (2000)

Not to bad...

***SPOILERS*** ***SPOILERS*** I've read some of the comments already there (I don't read all 260, though!) Wat occurred to me is that opinions on this movie are very different! One thing that has been said, is that it has no connections to the other Highlander productions: Bulls***, it does! True, mostly connections to the series, but it refers to part one a lot too! The only thing you have to forget if you watch the movies, is that Connor has already had the Prize twice... If you forget that, you can really enjoy it! On the DVD, the producers said you can also watch it if you are not familiar with Highlander. That is NOT true!!! Watch movie one and a couple of episodes from the series (preferably later episodes) and you'll be fine! Connor was great, as usual, Duncan was the Best!!! Also, I liked seeing Joe Dawson and Methos again, and I missed Amanda, but hey, you can;t win 'em all... <SPOILER WARNING> What I don't get is this: Duncan gets the prize in the end... Or so it seems! But Kate is still alive, and I haven't seen Methos get killed either!!! But I guess, that Quickening of Kell just wasn't the prize. Looked like it, though!
