Malpractice (2023)
Such a disappointment
Was so looking forward to this but very disappointed. So far away from real life that artistic licence really doesn't cut it.
First the doctor appears to be in a ward and doing a procedure that would be done in a special treatment room and certainly not by a doctor from A&E department, which we then find out that she is. Then doctor is given the most ridiculous pressure to make a vital decision. Then we discover that a friend is on the investigation panel, which just wouldn't happen - this is a conflict of interest and the case would be thrown out if it came to tribunal.
And the stupidity continues. Such a shame.
Silent Witness: Hearts of Darkness: Part 1 (2023)
Time to wrap things up
Dreadful writing and directing. Some dreadful acting but can't decide whether that's due to the writing and directing. Stilted and slow. That scene around the camp fire is probably the worst I've ever seen on TV. I like the introduction of the character who is deaf and appreciate that in real life conversation may be a little slower but for artistic purposes they need to be so much quicker. And for goodness sake just let Nikki have a lovely uncomplicated relationship with someone, whether it be Jack or otherwise. The two stars are for the effects department and Gemma Redgrave. Time to wrap things up.
Locke & Key (2020)
Disappointing second series.
Great series one. Series two started to take a dive at episode six. Too many plot holes. How had the Locke family not found the cave before the English soldiers - it's right near their house. The modern day cave has concrete steps leading to it - how come hardly anyone else has found it? Why did Duncan put Dodge's intention into the key, he could have put any intention into it ...and so it goes on.
It's a shame as it's a great concept. Let's hope the writing improves if there is a third series.
