Best in Show (2000)
An awesome display of directional improve
Best in Show definetly deserves the "blue ribbon". Completely improved, the movie is an outstanding display of the actors true comedic talents.
Best in Show was filmed without a script using only ideas to shape the direction of the film. Many takes and hours of footage leave the viewer completely satisfied and laughing out loud.
Each character is finely crafted and unique especially the characters played by SCTV graduates Eugene Levy and Catherine O Hara. This film allows both actors to display their talents.
The film includes all the regular Christopher Guest regulars and is clearly a film that fans of Spinal Tap and Waiting for Guffman can enjoy.
The Perfect Storm (2000)
Perfect Storm...almost perfect.
I love movies like the Perfect Storm; movies that involve men and women battling hurricanes or twisters, volcanos etc. This movie was very much like Twister but with a very surprising ending. George Clooney was excellent, I'm still do not like Mark Wahlberg and any movie with John C. Riley in it is a good movie in my books.
Lethal Weapon 4 (1998)
The Not So Lethal Weapon
I am a huge Lethal Weapon fan but I was disappointed with this effort. Although it was a good movie, it lacked some of the intensity that was found in the first three. This movie did not meet the standards the other three created creating a bland movie for the die hard Lethal Weapon fan but a good movie for the average action flick fan. Joe Pesci's in it, so it can't be THAT bad.
Platoon (1986)
Platoon is awesome.
This movie was amazing. Platoon was one of the first DVD's I bought when I bought my DVD player and I was not disappointed. Watching it the first time was mind blowing. Each character is so real and each scene beautifully shot that by the end of the movie you are left is awe staring blankly at the screen...of course the first thing you do after that is watch it again. One of my favourite movies of all time.
