Alone (2002)
Waste of time
Though this movie appears to be a good watch at first sight, I warn you that eventually you'll be disappointed. Camera is decent, image nice in places, speed is ok, dialogue is rather bad but the main thing is the story sucks. Sorry guys, better luck next time (hopefully).
The Interview (1998)
Leaves your brains tied in a knot
This movie, with excellent work by the leading actors, uncovers a weakness of the human mind. Humans want to know what's going on, otherwise they cannot rest. The Interview sets the brains in overdrive and keeps them spinning. An unpleasant, but intriguing experience, and a courageous aim for a filmmaker in this age of instant satisfaction, bubblegum entertainment. Well done.
The Safe House (2002)
Not great, but a good watch
By a mistake of the broadcasting company, this film was listed as Safe House starring Patrick Stewart - so we sat down eagerly to watch this. The Safe House kept us watching, an adequate thriller with all the trademarks of a contemporary British tv-production. Fine acting, cleverly made, nice locations, a good watch. Geraldine Sommerville (surely loved by all fans of the Cracker-series) does a good job, bit of a shame that her character should be so erratic. Story is ok, with few loose ends.
