Huh?

Warning: Spoilers
First movie to ever make me gag.... and I'm a Nurse!

Those hot dog scenes, were just simply way too much. It didn't make me laugh it legit made me gag!

They blood stained (dil'o) yet fuzz out the Pen!s in the fight scene.

What happened in the universe where she punches Jamie Lee?

I'm so confused.. Can rocks talk?

What was the purpose the point of this movie?

A mother's love is multiverse. Who doesn't know this?

The respect I have for Jamie Lee Curtis and her acting is the single only reason I continued to watch this rubbish!

I've got to watch Freaky Friday now just to reset my brain from that rubbish!

So thankful I didn't pay to watch this and super sorry for those who did.

So why was the car parked in the garage and by who?

Who's kids were they?

So what happened to the old lady?

Why why whyyyyy?

Why did the dude dye his hair?

The only thing I enjoyed about this movie was seeing both Timberlake and Alicia acting again, there were some serious issues that I cannot even explain and feel that over two hours of my life were just stolen from me!

What was the silicone thing on the hand at the end? The tap thing? Omg so many many many issues with the plot in this movie I honestly think they want the audience to feel as dumb as I do right now.

I didn't get it at all....

Missed the Plot
18 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
The monkey reminded me of Travis if you don't know who that is look it up.

There were no actual aliens in the entire film, references to real life things like TMZ, history channel the aliens that were caught on camera in real life that we still don't know anything about.

All the white people in this film where either Eaten and/or depicted as dumb, overweight, stupid or arrogant.

I am not a horse person, but I know some and I can say that there is no way that that ranch would look like that with just two caretakers. Not one time did I say the horses get fed or given any water during the entire film however, there was some horse dung shown, which pretty much sums up the film.

I was so bored, but at the same time, very thankful that I possessed the capabilities to both pause and fast forward the film at points.

The movie did not make any sense. Full Stop.

Beautiful scenery and great sound effects that's the only reason it's worth the 2 stars.

Punishment for popcorn.
26 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Whilst retrieving my popcorn I had my back turned to the screen where it displayed "Part One". I only know this as I had to replay the first 5 minutes in sheer hope that I had mistakenly missed something super important, I had. This movie was only part one, I never usually watch these types of movies until they all have been released (this includes star wars) oh how I wish I realized and didn't painfully waste 2.5hrs of my life I'll never get back.

I kept on telling myself, it has to get better.... It's almost there... what's the point?.. I didn't get it then and I don't get it now?.

I urge anyone with interest in watching this movie to hold off until part two as part one kills off most of the actors that give the movie appeal.

I am actually getting bored writing this review because of how nonsensical it was? Futuristic primitive... this movie is the very definition of oxymoron. Heat so unbearable, worms that eat people and sand. Point?

Warning: Spoilers
I feel sorry for anyone that has to do a book report on this film, paid to see this film or had to work tirelessly in its production.

I didn't get it. Unless someone has a shoe fetish? Or has done some reading on symbolic meaning behind shoes.

The camera work was wonderful but again unless you understand how hard it is to film in these conditions you simply can't respect it.

The storyline was rubbish.

A few bits and bobs about the symbolism of shoes in this film something you wouldn't respect unless you knew.

You see shoes are symbolic of our lives, representing a significant meaning of the paths, hardships, and dreams we take on through life. Shoes are the physical and symbolic embodiment of the past, present, and future paths we walk.

The white sneakers the rich guy wears: All-white sneakers often symbolize wealth since a wearer can't do anything that would get them too dirty and frequently has to purchase new pairs to maintain the fresh look.

The tying the shoelaces multiple times: There are many interpretations of this from new beginnings, social status, rejuvenation etc....

The brown shoes the worker wears: Some say is a reflection of a person with a great family life who possess abilities to be hard working, powerful with strength.

The white shoes the wife wears: This has me stumped, you see they are cream not white, square toes, so I'm unsure if this even has any relevance. But there's defs some serious "look at meeeee I'm wearing shoes scenes". Gah!!

Anyhoo... I didn't know until a short time ago that the personality of 90% of the population can be accurately judged off the style of shoe one wears. Maybe this movie was about interpretation maybe it was about confusing the confused.

10 stars if that was the point.

Don't Look Up (2021)

No Words
1 January 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This movie made me cry at the end for a solid hour, just the thought of how there's nothing I can do to save my beautiful children, my adoring husband, my loving family, my supportive friends, strangers, myself.... That humanity will end. We all know it. We don't know when. We don't know how. But it will absolutely come to an end.

Anyone that thinks this isn't plausible needs to remind themselves that it was only 119 years ago that there was no such thing as a darn airplane! You think that humanity is that intelligent that in less then 6 generations we've gone from banging two sticks together and drowning witches to landing a spaceship on a different planet and exploring it with real-time robots!

Wake up!

It was simply a movie that only those with a deep understanding of society, politics, climate change, disadvantage, the elite etc will truly understand.

A stark reminder that everyday is a blessing and life is truly what you make of it.

A much younger audience maybe...

This was a fun movie all throughout. Some picks though.

I love Ryan Reynolds but I feel like his becoming a version of Adam Sandler in the 90s... considering they are close in age it's clear Ryan's a late bloomer.

Could I have done better ~ Absolutely not, the nazi references were a little too much for such a fun movie, the Egyptian wedding scene was like watching a bad rerun of married at first sight.

The plot twist ~ that stood right out for me from the start which sucked as I had to wait until the final 20 min to prove my point lol.

Would I watch it again ~ happily.

Well done to the amazing cast on production.

Almost Perfect.

Warning: Spoilers
Loved that Lois Lane wasn't portrayed as a ditzy damsel in distress that can't tell someone's the same person with or without glasses on ~ until the last unnecessary scene!

The CGI this film it's pretty cool but there's way too much of it.

The storyline was unique and interesting compared to the original.

Was disappointed that once again the original plot ending was rewritten ~ would be nice to see a happy ending with a twist for a sequel.... Maybe some mini superheroes.

Would recommend and watch again. Well done to the amazing cast.

Perfection.
1 October 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Touching on so many levels.

I'm Victorian, (city not country) the way people in hick towns are depicted in this film is on point.

My husbands from a country town, I could absolutely relate to the feeling of unwelcome city folk.

The farmer with the idea of farm equipment running farms was honestly the best idea I've heard!

Farming is outdated and primitive, I cannot wait to be the unwelcoming city folk when eventually the racist, homophobic, violent, abusive, alcoholic, simple country folk are made to join the real world.

The land needs the rain, not for the over farming, for the land. The land needs the fire, not to harm people to regenerate. The land needs its native animals not hicks with guns.

It's a crying shame this movie could absolutely be a true story. The actors did such a wonderful job there were times I had to remind myself it wasn't.

Would have loved to have seen a closing scene with the rapist father being locked up for good, the birth of the cops baby and maybe a happier ending for the bubs. Why is the fathers parents the only parents in the movie?

Probably because the maternal grandparents aren't welcome ~ wouldn't surprise me.

Warning: Spoilers
I still don't get it?

I guess if you're into a movie with face tatts, drug use, suicide, bad behavior getting rewarded, alcoholism, homelessness,... cartoon visual effects and complete nonsensical scripting then this is the movie for you?

I've had a glance at the higher reviews, to be honest that's confused me more.

Best ending EVER!
4 September 2021
The character building in this film was worth every single minute, normally I cannot stand a language voice over but this movie nailed it!

A mothers love is real, the scandal, the drama, the ending omgomg. What a conundrum!

I love the thought of time travel especially one with a happy ending!

Great Film!

Betty Gilpin Fan!

Loved her in Nurse Jackie, wished they'd showed more depth with her character in this film, can't wait to see her in more movies.

The entire family sat through the movie from start to finish, which is a rare event!

It has a little something for everyone.

The kids will love it...

Watched this spontaneously, a heap of fun, I've always liked BF (3 extra stars just for him).

The effects aren't anything like today's however it didn't have to be.

The movie is fun, fantasy, adaptable for every age, cringed a few times but laughed just as many.

Overall a 5/10, but anything with BF in it already gets a 3 star hop. Enjoy!

Whoa for the Woke!
17 July 2021
I often wonder what my ancestors would think of today's times, knowing full well of the hardships they once faced in order for me and my family to live the life I do now.

My great grandmother widowed due to my great grandfathers workplace accident with 3 children under the age of 9 did what had to be done to survive.

She cooked and served her community ~ eventually making a successful buisness out of this, with the support of her church to make ends meet.

It seems today's people inclusive of myself at times loose touch of the things that truly matter.

For me this movie was a reminder that family and belief are the only things in life that truly matter. Whenever life throws a curve ball pick yourself up and reinvent yourself, you may not see the benefits but the generations might.

Just as I have.

This script was written by a psychopath that has deep seeded issues with feminism.
7 June 2021
Warning: Spoilers
If you think that you would enjoy a movie that has violence included but not limited to the killing of women, beating of women, torturing of women, women cheaters, gold digging women getting pay back and any women supporters being violently killed then this is the movie for you.

From the get go: X Wife is murdered and burned to death along with her lover. (Suggested he flipped out after a work place injury and had become dependent on drugs and was newly violent).

Various clips to depict mental health crisis and violence.

1st Women answers phone after sleeping in like unorganized slob no alarm has slobbed out while halfway through a divorce book on how to raise kids.

Man on phone (supportive free lawyer friend) talks about the house her husband wants back to organize meeting to help her out.

2nd Woman in film mother of 1st woman moved to facility to help with assisted living too stupid to turn microphone on laptop whilst FaceTiming son 1st woman's brother.

3rd woman in film leeching girlfriend of 1st woman's brother that needs to start paying her way.

4th woman in movie Neighbour portrayed as a "I have everything including personalized number plates kept woman"

1st woman continues to not take advice from son.

Son depicted as intelligent.

Father of son depicted as "fun", "understanding".

Son excited to talk to dad.

5th woman rings is a boss, decides to fire 1st woman for being late again (woman depicted as pretentious and rich)

Mother encounters a psychopath whom tells her how it's going to be unless she bows down to his commands.

A intimidating pursuit follows by the son reinforcing mother wouldn't understand him and his games.

Whilst reminding his mother not to be late to detention because she's made him late and also made him get detention as a result.

Woman gets fuel and spends money on gambling because every single mother woman going through divorce wastes money on gambling. (Again no relevance)

6th woman ONLY SMART WOMAN PORTRAYED IN MOVIE. (A Women of color that suggests to call the police).

Man "supports 1st woman at fuel stop = death by being run over" shows viewers that men shouldn't support women.

7th woman: Asian appearance on phone absent to the fact woman 1 needs help.

8th woman: woman of color is verbally abusive to an obviously distressed 1st woman rather then offering help swears and reinforces dumb bit*h idealism.

Kills lawyer friend for being married and helping single mothers and ripping off other men.

Man makes woman choose who's going to die.

9th woman: 911 operator.

(There's also a woman cop her that's gone to save rich pretentious boss from death)

10th woman: scared teacher lady.

11th woman: releases son.

Man takes more drugs before killing brothers girlfriend setting brother on fire, man shot but implied that he kills 4th woman to steal car.

911 called again and a man explains that they can't help her.

Woman devises a plan to lure man to house to use silent alarm. Whilst driving erratically causing death and carnage.

Woman 12 doing eyelashes while driving dies horrific death.

Slob woman then gets the absolute shiz kicked out of her mike Tyson style but comes to and finally stabs man in eye ball.

Cops come.

Woman drives off in shhhhiit heap car only to Be cut off again, decides not to beep and son says "good choice".

The END.

The way women are treated in this film is extremely disturbing and actually scary.

Take it or leave it... but please don't believe it!
30 April 2021
Warning: Spoilers
The beginning really grabbed me, there are lots of us out there down on our luck, isolated, unemployed, depressed, impoverished.

The relatable content of this scene is when you're down someone kicks you further down.

Then in rolls the drugs, this is where I started to tap out. The glorification that one is more worthy, more intelligent, able to function to higher standards and is accepted by society when taking drugs is a dangerous message.

The acting was incredibly believable. The emotion when seeing his dead x brother in law, the reaction, the response to send for help and cower in the corner like a frightened little mouse. All that taken away ~ for the potential for drugs.

It was at this point where for myself had it on in the background but got up to do the folding.

Basically if you like movies where the main character is on drugs otherwise is a depressed numbskull with suicidal thoughts, a main character that seems to have sex with multiple women because being intellectual makes every woman on the planet want to sleep with you, a main character that literally gets away with murder then this is the film for you.

It does have mild gore, fight scenes and a decent cast.

I am glad I didn't pay money to see this at the cinema. The other half fell asleep half way though giving me the opportunity after folding to write this review.

Drugs are never the answer, getting to know people for whom they are regardless of their financial, social and or emotional status is what we all should be doing!

Great acting by a great cast! The only thing that made me see this movie to the end.

Good bones and.... THE END.
22 April 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Spoiler Alert** I was left with so many unanswered questions after a very long movie, I had higher expectations.

I enjoyed the acting 100% and the storyline was going places in the beginning but it rapidly fell apart.

It's up to viewer to make up the ending.

This really lets this film down.

Did Marina complete her last mission?

Did they make it to Mars?

Did David get back to his wife and have a baby?

Was Michael reunited with his sister?

Why did his sister need care? She could only be possibly 9 years younger ~ as described in the fire scene?

Who did Zoe leave behind?

Could they have waited out the solar storm?

You expect the viewers to believe that they would only have one option of critical life support on a spaceship designed to get to Mars, when the International space station is in walking distance to Earth by comparison to Mars has + 3 ways to make oxygen?

Why couldn't they 3D print the parts?

These are only a few of the questions, the problem is once you start questioning the movie the beginning of the movie which was great starts to loose it's weight.

I liked how they showed the process of take off and sling shot towards the planet ~ not many of the other "Mars" movies depict this.

I'm a massive Toni Collette and Anna Kendrick fan would like to see them in a movie together with a better storyline.
