Locusts (2019)
Complete surprise
Went into this blind not expecting much but it took me by surprise how much I liked it. Characters that you care about and a story that keeps you engrossed from start to finish. And let's not forget that car!! A few twists and turns to the story mixed with a touch of dark comedy here and there (bathrooms will never be seen the same) without overdoing it made it enjoyable. Can't believe I hadn't checked this out sooner. I'll definitely watch it again and again. Very well done all around. Now I'll search out some of the director's other films. Australian films have been getting better and better.
Down the Road (2012)
Waste of time
If I wanted to watch Friday the 13th, I'd have watched Friday the 13th. Writer/Director just steals from everything that came before this and then calls it a "homage". Let's just hope a sequel is never made. Actors did their best with what little they were given as far as story/character development or lack thereof. Blame rests solely on the shoulders of the "writer"/director. Go watch paint dry. I promise you, it'll be more original.
The Everglades Killings (2019)
Don't bother
Absolute garbage. Don't understand how this even got funding. Someone's parents must have given them the money to make it. Don't waste your time on this.
