Gone in Sixty Seconds (2000)
Why not TEN seconds...?
Silly movie. Could be told in less than six minutes. Even farely good actors could not save this terrible waste of money. I think the script was written on the backside of a restaurant-bill; actors were told to act 'cool' and everybody was praying that the special effects would save this. NOT! I'm very sorry, I would have liked to write something more positive.
Vroeger kon je lachen (1983)
Great actors-movie: warm and subtle.
Simon Carmiggelt was/is best know as a writer of daily columns. He wrote beautiful "paintings" of everyday people. These columns were selected, put together and made into a beautiful and warm movie, in which we can see some of the best dutch actors at work. The sets are just the locations of the beautiful city of Amsterdam. No expensive special effects or computer animations; just great actors and they do a great, great job! Compared to an average 'Billion Dollar Hollywood Production' this movie can compare with it! It's also the best example for the saying: "The Lesser, The Better..."
