A Biltmore Christmas (2023)
Breathtakingly amazing!!!!
Wooooow how good was A Biltmore Christmas! In an endless pool of one-and-the-same Christmas movies on all the networks, boy do this one stands out! It's like when I was watching Ted Lasso and kept thinking in owe: my God, they actually wrote something THAT good, I can not believe it. And I got the same feeling watching this movie too. Didn't want it to end! I love Joy Lenz since the OTH days, I love her voice too, she is amazing singer. Kristoffer Polaha - what a sight for sore eyes! His talent and performance in this - breathtaking! And also I was pleasantly surprised by Colton Little. It my first movie that I saw him in and what a great actor! Cast - great, script - FANTASTIC, movie - awesome. Best one this year for suuuure!!!
Christmas on Windmill Way (2023)
Tough to watch when there's ZERO chemistry
I love Chad Michael Murray. I really do. But I gotta say, I watched this movie till the end only because of him. If there was some other actor, I would have turned it off within first 30 minutes. The story is so so, but the lead actress... Very bad acting, wooden, no emotions and there was no depth. CMM tried his best, but there was no mutual chemistry what so ever. It was like acting with a wall. I don't think the pairing of lead actors was good and I think, she needs some acting lessons as well. As a watcher I wasn't invested in the story at all, because the lead female failed to make an emotion connection with the audience. Just bad acting, unfortunately and not very interesting script.
Christmas in Notting Hill (2023)
Wonderful script wasted with terrible directing
What a wonderful story and cast! Really wanted to like it more, but the directing choices and directing itself it just awful.. So many cringe moments that I stopped counting after half the movie. Cast was wonderful and did the best they could, but me being in their places, it would have been terribly difficult to follow direction in some scenes, because it was just so terrible. I really think that the wonderful script and great cast was wasted, because the was just a very bad desicion made in choosing directors. You watch the film, this sweet story that flows and see how almost every scene could have been different because they all just feel pushed and made with force, not ease and christmasy inspiration. What a pitty.
Heart of the Holidays (2020)
Wonderfully warm!
This is a perfect Christmas movie. Warm, good-feeling, uplifting. Great chemistry between two leads, probably because they've known each other for more than 20 years. The movie is fluent and easy going. The story is great. This has been my favorite movie of Hallmark's season.
Charmed (2018)
Damn it, sooo bad!! Needs comeback of Halliwell sisters ASAP!!
I was so looking forward to this. I was so hopeful.. But the first episode was just epicly bad.. Terrible casting, acting, scripts and so on.. I really really wanted to like it, but I just couldn't handle how terrible it was. Maybe it will get better, but for now.. just so bad. Needs to get back the Original sisters ASAP. As aunts, supervisors, teachers, doesn't matter. Just FAST! Maybe then, MAYBE it will have a chance. Because for now, it's just God awful. Such a shame..
Blood & Oil (2015)
Not bad. Definitely needs improving
After watching the pilot I have mixed feelings. I liked it, but it was too many different plot lines for one episode. I know, I know - that is how the show invites viewers to watch what's to come and gives a peak on what story lines will unfold, but in reality, it usually gets the viewers confused. And this time, here is why:
1) Don Johnson really tries to push ruthless oil lord character out of him but it looks hard on him, because he's just a nice guy and I hope it's just for time being, that he is struggling to be and look bad.
2) Chace Crawford does his best to pull the show on his shoulders, but sometimes it gets too heavy for him. But he's good, nevertheless.
3) Too many story lines: they are so poor living in a trailer and in a couple of days become rich (either they'd had to be not that poor or they should've had their luck in further episodes). The bad son becomes bad too soon and most definitely another personal LeFever family situation-change is too early and completely wasted opportunity for the future.
Scotty Mike Foster was my crush in Greek, having been a sassy college kid with a lighthearted heart, but here he is a man all grown-up, dark, hurt, seductively bad and vengeful - so far the most interesting character on the show (and that inner darkness is veeery attractive..)
Chace Crawford is my close second of things that impressed me on the show. It's nice to see him again after Gossip Girl (all grown-up man also).
So, in conclusion - has potential but I hope it won't go that fast and develop one-two plot lines or characters at a time (not all of them at once).
Looking forward to see what's going to happen later on.
16 Blocks (2006)
Great film, loved it
I have just watched this movie. I am quite a Bruce Willis fan, so it was another movie I saw with this actor starring. Though he looks much better, he was made to look a little bit older. After watching this film, I IMDb'ed it and I was actually surprised of how bad the reviews were. Not true! Yes, it's quite dark film, but what do you expect, when you watch film about corrupted police officers, joy and laughter? The plot was interesting and Mos Def is great. First, I was also a little bit surprised by his non-stoppable voice, but later I got used to it and I think his acting is good. I can say that by wanting to know about him more. He's fine.
Vanished (2006)
Very very good
I liked it very much. Very good thing I didn't read the comments before watching. Because they all say that 'vanished' is not good. It's not true. I found it very interesting and the actors are really good. The plots are interesting and episode after episode we see how they dot the all the i. It is quite a different show from 24 or Prison Break. You don't have to watch and search for similarities. Yes, it is an action/drama/thriller or whatever show, but has it's own different characteristics. I especially enjoyed the acting of actress Ming-Na. She was really good. But I couldn't say that the other actors were worse. All were really good and I enjoyed watching Vanished.
Living with Fran (2005)
Great show! So sad it's ended!!
Want Fran & Riley back! That was a great show! Funny, enjoyable, cute. I'm upset I didn't have a chance to see the first season, but the second is really good. There are so many shows right now, which are still on air, but they are not so good. The writing of Living With Fran is great, the cast is also very good. Ben & Ryan are amazing, as well as Misti Trya and of course Fran. Could have been more celebrities to guest star on show, but it is a very good show anyway. I wonder if there is any possibility that this show could be reborn? I'm sure it would have it's viewers, but the re-airing of old episodes would be also good before the new ones. I would definitely watched this show if it came back to life again!
