Not the usual muppet marvel comic book story. To be honest, I think it's nice.
This is a fantastic movie. It is Phoenix who does It all and should have an Oscar statue for his interpretation of Batman's arch enemy. The Joker is crazy. Now we get not only an interesting story of how the Joker originated in the "dc universe" but also a thinker about how mental illness and madness.
Also a reminder of how evil people can be. Parts of the film also show Artur's (Joker's) first contact with the Wayne family and a little Bruce who we all know becomes Batman. Among the best movies I've seen.
Hope we see a second Joker movie. Dark and true to life like this one. Maybe about Jokers criminal life and Batman get in the story.
