It was wonderful, and the actors really knew what they were doing on the set...I rate 10 out of 10

I thought these movies were the best of these past two years, and I cannot wait to see the next two, Lord of the Rings: Two Towers and The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King. My being totally in love with Elijah Wood and Orlando Bloom has a little bit to do with the rating, but only a bit. I loved the way the characters seemed totally in style with each other, and, being a 12 year old girl from South Africa, I should know a lot about this! The first movie left me pining for the second, and I cannot wait to see the last. I only hope you lot appreciate this movie as much as I did, and although you are entitled to your own opinion, if you say this movie was too long, you obviously can't appreciate movies then, can you? And I bet 10 out of 12 you would not dare say that about other movies 3 hours long, would you? I, in fact, thought this movie was a little too short for my liking, and I would have loved it to be a bit longer. I hope you give these movies a chance, and I am sure you will pleased with the outcome!

Excellent is an understatement

Excellent is an understatement. The movie, which I saw yesterday, was exactly like the book, which I read a few months ago. The actors captured the characters perfectly. The story was moving, powerful and heart-warming. It makes you feel sad, then happy, then sad and then happy again. Maggie Smith was hilarious as Caro and Ellen Burstyn was outstanding as Vivi Dahlin'. Ashley Judd played the part of young Vivi brilliantly. It's probably her finest performance yet. All in all, the movie was wonderfully made and didn't deviate from the book, like so many films do. You HAVE to see this film.

Completely wonderful
13 July 2002
This movie was one of, if not THE, sweetest, most heart-warming movies ever. I highly recommend it to women (and some men) everywhere. It wasn't just a frothy, bubble-gum movie. It was deep, showing the bonds and relationships between strangers who become friends. It was hysterically funny sometimes, but also heart-breakingly sad. It left me with a warm feeling in my stomach. I rate it eight hearts out of ten.

Shagadelic, baby!

This movie has to be one of the funniest ever made. While I watched it, all I did was laugh and when it was finished, all I did was laugh. I can't decide who I like more, Dr. Evil or Austin Powers, because they're both incredibly funny! Trust me, you won't regret watching this movie. To sum it up in one word it would be: HILARIOUS!!!!

This movie is so inspiring. The music is amazing, the acting is brilliant and it's funny, sad and everything else. I loved it, but I don't know if it will appeal to you. I loved Sean Patrick Flanery and Dominique Swain. And Tara Reid. I think it was Tara's best piece of acting ever. In short, I LOVE THIS MOVIE!!!
