Animal Control (2023)
Quality Show
This is a clever, enjoyable, and funny show that is well worth your time. It takes a couple of episodes for the characters to gel, but once they do, Animal Control is a lot like Brooklyn 99 - with animals. It's also clean, so your kids can watch too. Joel McHale is his typical excellent sarcastic self and is a perfect contrast to his on-screen partner, Michael Rowland, who hasn't done much but hopefully will. The other supporting characters are great; clever dialogue, some slapstick, and interesting sub-plots. There is a bit of ridiculousness thrown in, which is great for any kids - and there are even some nice moments involving animals and how to care for them.

Predictable and Cheesy
Cheesy narration by a teenage girl with a bad blonde dye-job. Predictable story lines and bad acting. Overly melodramatic - who would carry a couple of dead family members to the top of your house, and then burn down said house by breaking a window and throwing a lit torch inside, as opposed to throwing it in the open doorway? Not very accurate - oxen are steers; grind them up and eat them.
Unwatchable. At least Yellowstone was preposterously entertaining with good cowhorse and reining scenes.
