One of best biopics in recent times. A must watch...
16 April 2024
With powerful performances, soul-stirring music, and a compelling narrative, the film captures the essence of Chamkila's turbulent journey, from his rise to fame to his tragic end.

As I only like movies coming from specific directores, and Imtiaz Ali is on my list of Indian directors. He skillfully weaves together historical footage, interviews, and dramatic reenactments to create a poignant portrait of a musical genius whose artistry continues to resonate with audiences today.

Whether you're a fan of Punjabi music or simply appreciate a well-crafted biopic, "Chamkila" is a must-watch.

Loved the story line backed by AR Rahman's music. And "Ishq Mitaye" is next level, such a song can be only produced by the legend himself.

Re-defining Mystery/Thriller Genre
6 October 2018
START: The start has happiness, love affection, peace. A happy and well bonded family life. It also depicts a love of younger brother for his elder brother. And than this movie gets on and start making you on your edge.

END: The end is totally drastic, which has regrets, fears, misery, hate which is totally opposite of start. This movie kept you thinking and guessing till the end. One of great thing about this movie is that it always create dougt in your mind for the situations you are witnessing in the movie.

Some movies are benchmark of their genre. This movie is one of that kind.

If you are into mystery/thrillers...than go for this signature movie as it'll re-define mystery/thriller for you. A must watch. A highly recommended.

Showstopper of movies
21 May 2017
Warning: Spoilers
I became astonished, as I just watched 'V for Vendetta'. I was wondering why I haven't watched it till now. One of textbook movie on very sensitive topics of Non-Conformism, Anti-Regime, Revolution.

Acting: Hugo Weaving was just like a brilliant magician or musician or writer who had full command in his domain i.e. Anti- Regime, who has nor fear neither vanity. I always admired Natalie for her superb performances in Closer or Black Swan and above all this movie.

Story: The dialogues and script are intense & honest. It is a thriller movie, but it is slowly revealed to me that its more than that. The story is filled with current events and great quotes. Also it has a definite strong political sense, and I can relate it with current circumstances in many countries.

Direction: It was marvelous. Everything looks beautiful especially Fireworks, Home of V, Studio Scenes, all over dark yet compelling.

Verdict: Indeed It's one great addition into my "List of Movies That I Want To Watch Before I Died"

Cheers To... America, Che & Friendship
21 May 2017
The real gem of this movie is it's last scene. The Motorcycle Diaries is one of greatest and enriching movie with lot of great experiences. I've watched this movie lot of times. Above all It has the best ending scene. This movie change my perspective about America as a whole. Whenever we think about America, USA or Sometimes Canada comes into our minds because it's too mainstream. But America is more than that, This movie is about Latin America, about Che Guevara, About Friendship, About Hardships of Life. A must watch!!

Awesome Movie....of Deprived Land and People
25 August 2015
Warning: Spoilers
****A Must Watch****

"WAAR", "Na Maloom Afrad", "Dukhter" and Now "Moor". Pakistani Cinema is becoming serious business and now we've also need to take it serious. This movie reminds me of Shayam Benegal's "New or Alternate Cinema".

This movie talks about deprived land, deprived people, injustice, honesty, family. On other hand it also gives insight on the decline of "Pakistan Railway" especially in Balochistan.

"Moor" is us....is Balochistan..... is Pakistan. And this movie shows this perspective very precisely.

Nature do the full justice with Balochistan. It's diverse and beautiful, "Moor" also did justice with it too by showing diverse scenery of Balochistan. A Job Very Well Done.... Jami

*****Five Star Comedy*****
24 August 2015
"Karachi Se Lahore", a laughter roller coaster.

Movie grips you from start, and takes you into extreme level of comedy. The actors in movie did full justice with their characters, Ayesha Omar (Mariam), Javed Shiekh (Tiwana), Shehzad Shiekh (Zaheem), Ashir Wajahat (Zeezo). But the corner stone / lime light of the movie was "Moti" (Yasir Hussain), he takes movie to next level, he is also co-writer. And at last "Wajahat Rauf" (The Debut Director) do full justice with his movie by his skills.

I'll rate main ingredients of movie as cast (9), acting (9), timing of punch lines (10), songs (8), cinematography (8), editing (9), direction (9), script (10). So each department try to put his 100% and succeeded as well. So overall I give 9/10.

Go Watch it for "Moti" and for "Pakistan". Its worth for your money.
