Tweek City (2005)

Wast of time.

I wasted 90 minutes of my life watching this move, plus $3.50 renting it. My time would of been better spent daydreaming. And now I realize I am wasting even more time writing a review of this disaster of a movie, so my only hope is to give others fair warning that this movie is wasted time, and wasted money. The entire movie was shot in a very armature way, the plot was barely there, and it was a struggle to stay awake from the very boring beginning, to the very boring end. I would have to equate this movie from the acting, the storyline, the plot and the ending with the poorest of films. Advice to anyone considering renting this movie are save your money, save your time.

Priest (1994)

Incredibly moving

This movie was incredibly moving, especially the last 10 minutes. It accurately portrays the struggle one would go through, being Catholic, gay, and a priest, all at once. Yikes. The ending is very VERY powerful, and sends a strong message that we learn and grow through our suffering, and surviving our hardships enables us to help others. If you're up for an emotionally powerful movie, see this movie!! You'll love the ending!

Taste of Cherry (1997)

What a bummer ending

I had such high prospects for this movie as I became engrosed in the main character, and his obsession to take his own life. Yes, it moved slow, but I did not seem to mind that, because of the intensity behind the man's decision to hire someone to bury his body after he took his life. And the scenery was very symbolic of the man's unhappiness in his life, dry, and desolate. However........ I could not have been more disapointed in the ending, which overshadowed any symbolic or spiritual depth of the movie it was trying to convey. The shift was WAY too drastic. It was a rude jolt. And it left me feeling as though a movie with such great potential was basically ruined. I have seen other Iranian films, and they ranged from good, to quite spectacular, but this one was disapointing, mostly because the potential was there for it to be much better.
