Just started binge

It was quite coincidental that I found this series. I didn't know the director or actors. It started very well though and almost finished season one. It's surprisingly good. The entire cast seems good, but the main character does a particularly amazing job. His character seems simple and complex at the same time. He's extremely intelligent and it's a pleasure to watch him.

The series seems very realistic, it's definitely not a glamorous spy series. It really shows the cold world of intelligence services.

The music makes this complete. The series wouldn't be nearly as good without it.

For me a solid 10.

Neesons motivation to steal was very strong. His motivation to turn himself in not so much.

Why not turn yourself in the way Raymond reddington did?

Any half smart FBI agent would just take the box, tag a different one for evidence, and move on like nothing happened. They had no reason to start a killing spree.

Which wife in the USA would look at her husband in love and admiration after he just blew up an FBI agent's house?

"Hey bud, here is the gun you lost".

"Thanks" Shouldn't any cop be interested in where his gun was recovered?

His past as a successful thief could have given it some allure, but they barely zoomed in on it.

It's painful to watch. There are a some massive plot holes, and the characters are not very intelligent or likeable. I could have stopped watching at any moment, didn't really care about what happened after.

Dexter: New Blood (2021–2022)

Uh oh, what to expect after so many years?

They have had a lot of time to think about what to do, and it shows!

I watched the entire series twice and I couldn't wait for this. The news that they would come with another season made me really excited.

Its incredible how it just picks up so smoothly after those years. You get right into it again. Dexter is himself. The setting is beautiful (most was recorded in Shelburne Falls - gorgeous).

The new cast performs incredibly well. And the story... wow! As a long time fan I am deeply satisfied. I won't spoil anything. Watch this!

The Laws of the Border (2021)

Wow! Nostalgia?

I put the movie on without high expectations, Netflix recommended it. The start is great and I got hooked immediately. It's just great fun from the start. The scenes from Spain are gorgeous and really authentic from the 70s. The movie has it all: action, humor, cinematography, good characters... I'll admit that they can be superficial at times, but it doesn't matter. I actually liked the title song a lot as well, it goes very well with the movie.

I go to Catalonia frequently so perhaps I'm biased - but I just loved to see this.
