Paradise PD: Good Jeans (2022)
When I think about it I still laugh
Having seen this episode of Paradise Police two years ago still makes me laugh uncontrollably every time I think back , and I think of it often. The humor in this series is simply unparalleled, and each episode leaves a lasting impression. Netflix should have approved more seasons of Paradise Police because, as the series has progressed, it has become much funnier and more engaging. The characters are brilliantly written, the comic timing is impeccable, and the absurd situations they find themselves in are simply too good to resist. If you need to laugh out loud , Paradise Police is the perfect prescription. I would have wanted only many more seasons.
Strappare lungo i bordi (2021)
The Only Italian Adult Cartoon: Disappointment
"The Only Italian Adult Cartoon" is a work that leaves a bitter taste in your mouth. Although the animation may have a certain visual beauty, everything else seems to have gone off track. The main flaw of this cartoon is its lack of identity and coherence.
On one hand, the animation is carefully and skillfully done. The colors are vibrant, the details are accurate, and the use of animation techniques is impressive. However, this positive aspect is completely lost amidst a series of conceptual mistakes.
The most evident problem is the attempt to insert an emotionally moving plot into an adult cartoon. The story gets lost in a sea of dramas, personal conflicts, and sad moments, which seem out of place in an animated context intended for a mature audience. This indecisive and confusing approach makes it difficult to establish who this cartoon is actually aimed at.
Furthermore, the overall tone of the cartoon is inconsistent. It abruptly shifts from serious and melancholic moments to grotesque and vulgar situations, creating an annoying discontinuity. The humor is weak and forced, and the "adult" scenes are childish jokes with swear words. However, without a solid comedic foundation, everything comes across as naive and insipid.
The end result is that "The Only Italian Adult Cartoon" feels more like a confused television series than an adult cartoon. The lack of a coherent narrative and a clear artistic direction prevents the cartoon from making a significant impact. It's as if the creators couldn't decide whether to make a TV series or an animated cartoon and ended up with a mishmash of genres that doesn't work in either way.
In conclusion, "The Only Italian Adult Cartoon" fails to hit the mark. Despite good animation, the lack of coherence in the story and the mix of contrasting tones make it an unsatisfying experience. It would have been better if the creators had made a clear decision on the genre and focused on a well-defined vision.
Family Guy: Stewie's First Word (2020)
A Whirlwind of Disappointment
I'm sorry if I wasn't clear in my previous response. Here's the revised version in English:
I'm disappointed that this episode of Family Guy didn't live up to my expectations. Honestly, I was hoping for something better from the creators, who usually deliver a perfect blend of humor and satire. However, I can't deny that there were some genuinely funny scenes that made the episode more enjoyable, particularly the theater scene and the one involving dolphins.
The theater scene was a stroke of genius, fully capitalizing on the irony and satire that define Family Guy. It was a moment that genuinely made me laugh, appreciating the sharp humor and the ability to turn mundane situations into something extraordinarily amusing.
However, I must admit that the dolphin scene had an even greater impact on me. It was a burst of comedy and originality that pleasantly surprised me. The idea of using dolphins in such a absurd and surreal situation showcased the creativity and boldness of the show's creators. The scene was well-executed and had me laughing heartily, leaving a smile on my face.
Despite my overall criticism of the episode, I can't ignore that these two scenes, particularly the one with the dolphins, helped lift the episode and make it more entertaining and memorable. It's these brilliant moments that remind me why I'm a fan of Family Guy and give me confidence for future episodes.
In conclusion, while the episode as a whole fell short of my expectations, I can't overlook the excellence of the theater scene and especially the dolphin scene. It's these little nuggets of humor that keep me watching the show with anticipation, hoping that Family Guy will continue to surprise me with their comedic genius.
Aqua Teen Forever: Plantasm (2022)
older aqua teen is more beautiful
In my very personal opinion, I have to admit that initially I felt quite disappointed with this film, because the behavior of the protagonist Frylock out of tune annoyed me a lot. To add further discontent, there was also the character of Frylock's friend, who was irritating not only from the point of view of drawing but also from the point of view of personality.
However, I have to say that with the passage of time the conversation became more interesting and I started to like the film. Although I didn't like it as much as a regular episode of Aqua Teen Hunger Force, I was fascinated by how the plot evolved.
I noticed that the film definitely improved towards the end, with a more engaging narrative and a more articulated plot. Of course, the level of fun and comedy that this show has accustomed us to expect has not been fully achieved, but that does not mean that the film is to be thrown away.
In conclusion, I can certainly say that the Aqua Teen Hunger Force film is still a positive experience, able to offer moments of fun and entertainment with a narrative that combines various themes. Despite its initial slowness and the character of the characters that may not please everyone, the film offers a fun and interesting vision of the world of Aqua Teen Hunger Force, and for this I recommend the viewing to all fans of the genre.
South Park (1997)
I am disappointed ( After Season 18)
Starting from season 19, South Park has experienced a considerable decline in quality and has become widely regarded as the worst cartoon intended for adults. The show now appears to be more geared towards children, albeit with some crude language and adult themes thrown in to maintain its TV-MA rating. To make matters worse, the show has taken on a didactic tone, attempting to impart life lessons in a heavy-handed and ultimately unsuccessful manner. In fact, it has now become so insipid that it can be compared unfavorably to even Peppa Pig, a children's cartoon. This is a sharp departure from its earlier seasons, when South Park was considered one of the best cartoons around and was a favorite of many. However, since the conclusion of season 18, it has rapidly devolved into one of the worst cartoons ever created.
