The Center Seat: 55 Years of Star Trek (2021)
A great summation of a great franchise
With all of the thousands of actors over the years, it's difficult to get interviews and comments from everyone who is involved. It was quite the coup to get Leonard Nimoy to talk. But Why they didn't interview William Shatner, who is still alive, is beyond me. Maybe he wouldn't do it? Gates McFadden was a good choice as a narrator - I've always liked her character and her as a person. Not interviewing Avery Brooks was kind of odd because Deep Space 9 was such a different groundbreaking part of the Star Trek universe. However, one character is conspicuously absent from any mentions, and you only catch a glimpse of her face once or twice. And that is Gene Roddenberry's one time Wife: Majel Barrett , WHY? She was nurse Chapel in the original Star Trek, and Counselor, Troy's mother in Star Trek next generation. And the fact that she was the voice of the computer in many of the series, and a few movies gives her more exposure than anyone, other than perhaps, Michael Dorn . Jealousy because she was once the wife of the creator? I guess we'll never know. Otherwise, even with that slight, it was enjoyable to see. Reviewed by a true Trekker.
The Adam Project (2022)
Nice family values; too many expletives
The whole thing was a bit corny but the overall message of the importance of family motivated me to give it a 6. Otherwise, way too much cursing considering the co-star was only 12 years old. Also, Ryan Reynolds was the same, well, Ryan Reynolds from every movie he's in. Smart mouth, wise-cracking, funny guy. Some woke elements but mostly toned down - thankfully. Had an issue with understanding how in a mere 25 years we discover time travel and jet ship cloaking. Lastly, so good to see Ruffalo and Garner together again. Loved them in "13 going on 30!"
Cry Macho (2021)
Not a Western
Look - I'm as big of a fan of Eastwood as anybody. That being said, I'll watch most anything he makes. This one wasn't his worst but it wasn't great.
I feel the promotional photos are misleading. It shows him riding a horse and looking a little like his Spaghetti Western self. And, it is an older photo. I thought he was making "one last" Western but this isn't the case.
The guy is 91- pretty impressive to still be the star of a movie.

More Woke Hollywood Infection Here
Does this sound like a winning strategy?
Take a show that was a huge hit in the '90s, when values were different, and add woke touches so that in the quest for new fans, you alienate the largest group of viewers - older fans- most likely to watch this movie.
If you said, "No" you'd be correct. I shut it off halfway through. Apparently there isn't a decent writer left in Hollywood.
Don and Cheech -WHY? Did you need the money that bad to end with that trashy movie?
No Time to Die (2021)
Even James Bond has gone Woke
When will it end? I thought England was a little more traditional than the Good Ol' Woke US of A but apparently not. Every new show, every new movie. Turned it off about half way through. I'm not supporting this trash.
Hope you gained as many new fans as the older ones you've lost. If you remember the old James Bond movies, this one is NOT for you.
Hollywood wasn't satisfied with corrupting America, it has to go for Great Britain, too?
