Beast (2022)
I loved it!
I loved it! My wife and I watched this movie together at night, with the lights out. The only way to watch a movie like this. I really enjoyed the acting, and the theme. The man versus nature was fantastic!
The CGI was amazing. You really got the impression that the lions were real. The fight scenes were great.
I would definitely recommend this to anybody who wants a thriller, sit at the end of your chair, movie.
The ending was a little predictable, we kind of saw it coming from the beginning, but still a very enjoyable movie.
I wish we would see more movies like this from hollywood, very, very, very entertaining.
Station Eleven (2021)
Pretty awful
Okay, my wife and I stuck it through all 10 episodes. While the ten episodes had some high points, Himesh Patel, Danielle Deadwyler, and Nabhaan Rizwan are outstanding, the series was extremely slow. It took much too long to tell the story. Really could have told the story in 3 episodes.
Some elements of the story were just ridiculous beyond measurement. I'll push those examples to the end under the spoilers heading.
(Spoiler ahead)
Ok, so the prophet encourages the kids to turn themselves into human bombs and kill people. Later the main protagonist seems to forget this while she directs him in a Shakespearean play. Really?
Day Shift (2022)
Horrible
Okay I tuned into this movie thinking it was going to be another good vampire flick. Love those vampire and zombie movies, and was really looking forward to this one.
Very, very disappointing. The plot was so incredibly lackluster, that it was difficult to watch.
The acting was inconsistent. In particular, Snoop Dogg was horrible. Seriously he acts like a cardboard caricature. Not sure why he was even cast in this role.
If you're looking for a horror movie, or even a good zombie movie, I'm sorry to say you should look elsewhere. Day shift was a total disappointment. Somebody should have edited this down to an hour and fifteen minutes.
My Brother's Keeper (2020)
Great story
Really enjoyed the story and theme.
A film about redemption, would definitely recommend this for the entire family.
Laughed at some of the lines from the roof and air conditioning repair man.
