Us (2019)
Don't be fooled by the reviews!
I was so excited to see this movie! It's started out strong....but 1/3 of the way into it, it plummeted! Lupita Nyong'o did an amazing job with the movie, as did Shahadi Wright Joseph. I never could understand the writing and direction for the Abraham character. Seemed like he should have been a totally different movie! It's really too bad, as I could see where it was going and had great potential....but it just didn't reach it. Not by a long shot.
Finding Dory (2016)
Pretty heavy pull on emotional heart string
**just a slight spoiler at the end of my review **
I expect some emotional pull in my Disney/ Pixar movies, I just didn't expect it to be so heavy with it, and so light on my comic relief.
Dory had given us much needed humor for Finding Nemo, but in this movie, Dory was over taken by Sadness (Seriously, Sadness from Inside out, had to have been totally touching all the core memories of Dory!!)
It wasn't what I expected, I'm not even sure how many children in the theater enjoyed it. I only heard one large outburst of laughter, when the *******spoiler*********
The octopus slams into the glass!
Still a great Pixar movie - just not as great as I wanted.
Psych (2006)
I laugh every episode!
EXCELLENT! This show gets humor!
From the Characters to the story lines, From the funny nicknames to the quirky relationships, From the Blueberry to the pineapple, from 80's trivia to the song and dance! I love this show! It's the funniest thing on TV!
I have this on seasonal record on my DVR, I can't miss an episode. The thing is though, I pretty much will drop everything and race to the TV to watch it live -but just in case, I'm safe. I've been watching since the first season - it's not been one of those shows you get tired of and drift away from.
You should be watching this, and if you haven't been..go rent or buy the seasons! - "You got that right!"
Revolution (2012)
I Look forward to it each week!
I was shocked to see all the negative reviews. Perhaps I feel different because I'm not really looking for reality when I watch TV. I'm looking for entertainment. I'm looking to take a break and relax. (Most generally I have enough reality in a normal day, but if I'm looking for more on TV, I'll turn on the news) As for Revolution, I really enjoy the Drama. I find myself drawn into what the writers, and actors give with this show each week. There are some characters, I love to hate, and others I'm cheering on! I now make it a point to watch it when it comes on, or if I can't - I make sure the DVR is set, and watch it later. :)
