Servant (2019)
I've stuck it out & don't know why
I loved season 1. The rest of the show has gone nowhere. Same thing every week. But I've kept watching it, don't know why. Unlikeable characters & slow as molasses. (Although Julian cracks me up now & again & I like Toby, that actor was good in Grand Budapest Hotel) I keep waiting for The Big One & with just a couple episodes left they'd better deliver. This last one at least finally got us to Dorothy's moment. I love the house, colors, the neighborhood, the eerie unsettled vibe...and the fact the episodes are short. I'd love a "holy s#$& "moment but I'm starting to think it's not gonna come. But I'll stick it out anyway.
Stranger Things (2016)
Great show that gets lost sometimes
You cannot beat the nostalgia in this show. It was the 80s man! While I love this show this most recent season had way too many plot lines to keep up with. Loved Hawkins & Russia stories but California & the lab just didn't do it for me. They are going to have to kill off a major character soon. Just so long as it's Eleven. Sorry, I don't like the character, actress or the many isolation tank scenes. While they're at it I don't much like Jonathan either.
RIP Eddie! (Ps: do NOT kill Dustin or Steve LOL)
Hell House LLC (2015)
Not every horror movie needs to be a masterpiece to be fun to watch
I admit it I love horror films, all of them, the good, the bad & the ugly ones. Sometimes l watch the movie and sometimes I just can't get thru it.
Hell House LLC has its good, bad & ugly moments for sure. The premise is a good idea and it's just the right amount of campy (the "journalist " interviews).
I like all the clown props & that one scare with Paul is creepy! I enjoyed the dudes dynamic as friends until Sara and/or Alex are on screen , I have an irrational hatred of these 2 characters...I wanted to slap them silly.
The movie is a fun watch as far as found footage goes, it is hard to pull off. But Hell House gives it its best shot and comes close enough to the mark for me to give it a 7.
