Original meeting! Jokes are funny, too much work and no play makes maddie a dull woman, she's so stupid, seems like they cut out some lines??? I think she's trying to kill him tbh, best chemistry i've seen in these films, props department could have done wayyyy better, the scenes of them doing activities together are so awkward, ending is meh and it's such a shame that there were such unrealistic parts? And the mayor???? What was that about??? Literally so confused. I only write these reviews so i can remind myself what happened in these films. Overall, this film started strong but definitely deflated.

strained relationship with mother?? Creepy taxi driver is definitely magic, she's too business not enough woman, she is shaming a child for offering her cookies and telling her they'll make you fat >:(, so much fat shaming in this holy moly, ugly bridesmaid dresses, i HATE her, DAVID DELUISE?!!! Wtf is he doing here? Worst wedding ever, religious overtones, men being disgusting, all of this is so unnecessary!! He's got serious dimples, absolutely horrified it's like IM being bullied, omg it's groundhog day, she's going WILD, if i had to do my makeup so many days in a row i'd cry, girl overcomes fear of being fat?? Idk why she got it in her head she had mommy issues he mother is lovely, montage of self improvement journey?? They sing to announce themselves that's hilarious, original but i can't get over the fatphobia.

The filming is BIZARRE, why close ups on face??, she's carrying a puppy?? Why?? "he used to have a crush on me, i remember he used to kick me down on the playground" get fluffed, lots dogs! I DONT DRIVE BOATS, neither of them can control their dogs, she is a SCREAMER, the sound quality is bs, filmed in Idaho?? There's child love with like 12 year olds?? Bit creepy can't lie, ex fiancé does not understand a breakup?? It is INCREDIBLE that the antagonist is a whiny man in 2012 :0, best friend is cute i love her, i like this kid, LOVE this friendship, this girl stands up for dogs i love her, this is REALLY growing on me the jokes are all great, okay bestie is being a tad selfish by wanting mc to not go to NYC to be a broadway director >:(, well written dialogue, love the dog content, she has told him she's going to NYC and he's already in love with her she sucks for that, comedic timing is top tier, wild to me that the audience doesn't get to see the whole play, top notch acting, he is the definition of a golden retriever boy, he MOPEY, he went to get her :3, this film rlly went double standards? Never heard of them!

I have never heard the line "oh no" said with a more deadpan face. Really weird writing, delivered with really weird tones and expressions. This is the worst dad ever, insulting his daughter in front of her. She just moved, she's somehow rich now??? So strange. She literally grew up on the ranch and somehow she doesn't know anything?? They're acting like an omelette is gourmet???? There's a weird montage of them doing things together and looking at each other that's supposed to show their chemistry but it really doesn't it's all unnatural. She... she MacGyvered her earphones to fix a water pump?? For literally no reason she could have just gotten a rope?? Also the lack of diversity in the cast is scary. I'm not one to dole out compliments to men but Nathan Parsons tried his absolute best to save this tosh with his best acting but alas it wasn't enough.

I didn't have high hopes for this, knowing how awful 'American in France' usually goes. However, Jansen's acting as a flustered, highly strung event planner is convincing enough that her characterisation is frustrating and endearing at the same time. Her gaggle of friends complement her character perfectly; all with their own interesting plot points. Onto the main plot, the jealousy that falls over Cameron is more than satisfying after what we hear of how he treated her. Overall, very enjoyable but I do have a bone to pick with the props department. The whole plot is centred around how she sent him postcards because of her French class yet not a single one was in French. Wild.

The storyline is even more beautiful than the scenery. I didn't expect to like this film as much as I did and this is mainly due to the acting. It's not often people have to pull a Linsey Lohan but Jeremy Jordan pulls it off amazingly and is largely the reason the film is so good. He switches between a gay celebrity chef and hometown cook seamlessly and even when in the other's clothes you can tell who is who.

Okay it made me actually cry, I can't recommend enough the characters were perfect for each other. The pair warmed up to each other and even though I knew exactly what would happen, I was wondering if they could even make it work!

I adore this film, it's so cute and original. I loved watching these characters fall in love. This is due to the fact that I love watching crappy romance films by Hallmark and sundry (this is a brilliant UpTV film) so if you don't then it's probably not for you. It hits all the marks and the acting is great!
