Euphoria: Shook Ones Pt II (2019)
AMAZING, the best episode this season !
First off, the way the camera panned from one character to another at the carnival, was great and added a lot to the show, it made it more dramatic and everything in the show more connected. The script was phenomenal, the outfits and makeup are amazing in every episode but in this episode it was especially amazing . I loved how a few of the characters getting treated in questionable ways by their boyfriends/guys and having a bad time in general, led them to engage in high risk behaviors, which is common among teens in real life. And there was a lot going on with Jules, and she found out a lot of things which was interesting, and tbh great to watch her realize that she's an idiot. The aesthetic is also just amazing.
Euphoria: Stuntin' Like My Daddy (2019)
Eh
Please note that I rated this in comparison to the other episodes, I gave this a three star because some of the other episodes were so good, it made this one bland. First off way too much dick in the first ten minutes, like a lot, and I hated/felt kind of traumatized seeing a montage Cal's sex tapes, but in way it helps you see what Nate saw, and understand better how it effected him, especially because he was watching this at a really young age. Most of the episode was just mostly bland, if you've watched the other episodes you know what I mean. I didn't like the way the show didn't really make a big deal out of Kat's sex tape getting leaked (she's a minor also) but maybe the show was trying to reflect reality, in that case they did a great job and I think it was accurate. Overall most of the plot in this episode just wasn't interesting or anything special.
Euphoria: Pilot (2019)
Really depressing and a lot of unnecessary details/lines
I would have given this 2 stars, but I loved the scenes where Nate and Maddy were making each other jealous, and the cinematography in a scene where Rue was on drugs and the party music so I increased it by 3 stars. A lot of the lines were stereotypical of what a teen or someone in gen z would say and cringe and also kind of over the top and inaccurate, which I can kind of confirm because I am a teen. And most of the episode just seemed like it was trying so hard to shock people not only visually but verbally. On top of that of course it was really bleak and made you feel like we live in a dystopian society. It was probably one of the most depressing episodes of Euphoria, and in my eyes it was the worst episode of Euphoria.
