The Sandman (2022– )

Super faithful adaptation!

How to make a comic series that can only be described as ethereal into a tv show? That was the big question. But they did it! Taking visuals and scenes ripped from the page and put on the screen perfectly.

Morpheus sounds just as I imagined he would. Desire and the Corinthian look exactly like their comic origins. The only casting I didn't like was despair. She looked far too normal. Hopefully she will be made to look more like her comic origin next season. If you like the comics you will be very pleased. Gaiman actually got to work with Netflix when adapting this show. (Unlike American gods) so it sticks to the comic faithfully.

Cannot wait for season 2.

Also the comics had gay and trans characters in it, so don't be so insecure and weird saying Netflix made it 'woke'. You need to grow up and interact with real people in real life.

Neighbours (1985– )

The actor playing Harold Bishop legitimately saved my life.

In 1991 I was an Olympic gymnastics hopeful. They called me the rubber thatcher. Because of my great flexibility and at the time I sported a hairdo similar to that of Margaret Thatcher.

It was early May, and with a tour group of other Olympians we were taken to Ramsay Street.

The day progressed quite nicely as we got to not only see behind the scenes and inside lassiters, we also got to see them shoot a few scenes.

At lunchtime, sandwiches were served. I grabbed the egg salad (my favourite) and sat down next to some of the cast members. Harold Bishop being one.

Just before I took my first bite he turned to me and said " I love egg salad. I just wish they wouldn't add those chilli flakes. Makes it too spicy and always gives me heart burn".

I threw the sandwich to the ground and thanked him. You see I'm allergic to chilli flakes. Had I taken a bite of that sandwich, then I would have gotten a very upset stomach. This encounter changed the course of my life. I quit the Olympics (actually banned for doping, but still.) And became a volunteer at the red cross. Money has been tight, but thankfully helping the homeless is a red cross speciality.

Why is a 40 year old man hanging around a highschool singing?

This movie was made for nefarious tax reasons.

I don't remember almost anything about this movie, actually I may have only ever seen the trailer and not the whole movie. Either way thumbs down 👎.

Elvis (2022)

Masterpiece.

The music, the acting, the pacing, the costumes and the scenery was enthralling!

If you are a fan of Elvis, you will be pleased with this movie. If you aren't a fan, you'll probably still love it!

Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021)

Slow Motion 🐌

This movie is 4 hours long.

If you get rid of the slow motion scenes, or at least play them at normal speed then this movie is about 50 minutes long.

Why people rallied online to get this version released is a mystery. Just as mediocre as the original edit, but at least that edit wasn't filled with the extra slow motion garbage.

Candyman (2021)

Gave me a seizure.

The last 8 minutes of this movie consist of non stop flashing blue lights. Literally could not look at the screen.

Overall the movie is very average, the puppet scenes add to the atmosphere and are well done. However it simply wasn't that enjoyable.
