Absolutely hilarious. I gave this a 10 not because it's perfect - nothing will ever be. But boy, does this movie deliver. America - your favorite writer gets to the big screen with a bang. The writing for this movie is laugh out loud. I haven't been on IMDb for a while and writing reviews was a distant memory. Ted showed me why I used to love comedy movies. My only problem with the movie was the incessant laughing from the crowds - sometimes drowning out dialogue. I will probably see it again making sure the theater is empty - will take a while. That being said, it's R. Leave your kids behind. And overtly PC people will also have trouble with certain scenes. All round, MacFarlane poured his soul into the movie making - it's quite hard to weave tender moments into a movie as raunchy as this, but he did it anyway and one will never imagine this is a first for the director. My kudos and a big recommend to all movie lovers out there.

A total waste of time. Don't be fooled by the ratings on IMDb. I guess there is a media campaign from Cameron camp to promote this dumb movie, if you can call it one.
CGI is a tool to make better movies, not a movie unto itself. And the faster any director realizes this, the better. I cannot think of a reason why such flimsy piece of film making would take 10 years. Except that it is a media stunt of promotion. The story line is pretty simple. Bad guys want to invade a planet and send in a Trojan. This character is expected to bring in information which will help to minimize casualties in case of war. The Trojan succeeds in the mission but in the mean time falls in love with an indigenous girl and rest of the story revolves around how the invader is destroyed. If you think terminator 4 was a disaster, this narration will leave you dumb struck and angry. Believe me and lose this movie. Its not worth it.

I am not going to delve into the story one bit here. Please look at the synopsis for that. After reading the synopsis, if you want to watch this movie then read on. This is one of the worst movies I have watched in recent times and let me tell you, I watch a lot. I have never given a user comment for a movie. I voted a few times for contributions and sometimes for the movie itself when I felt strong about the movie- either good or bad, but this one evoked so strong a response that I tracked down the IMDb page and sat down to write a warning. This is no review. Just refrain from watching the movie. Accepted that people are passionate when making movies, these people, the director, actors and all others remotely connected to this movie don't know what they are doing.
