You need to watch it
9 March 2024
I put off watching this until they hype died down so it wasn't spoiled for me by others and it was WELL WORTH IT!! This was an amazing series! I absolutely enjoyed it.

At first I thought it would be similar to Bridgerton but it's not. The characters are amazingly cast, India as Charlotte is spot on!

It made me cry so much and their story is so beautiful and now it makes so much more sense why Charlotte is the way she is in Bridgerton.

It was so heartbreaking but so beautiful at the same time, Charlotte staying and loving George who although he's half there, he still loved her and they had children together.

Lady Danbury and Brimsleys story is also well told and really makes you sympathize with them. I was so sad that it was only 8 episodes long, I wish I could have watched more.

Will I watch this again? Definitely! Forever and for always one of my favorite couples.

Make it a series
9 March 2024
Warning: Spoilers
I'll say for those who havent read the books its quite an alright fantasy movie, however if you havent read the books and found the movie dull, thats because it's left out important aspects from the books.

As someone who has read the books, I would say I was disappointed by the fact that the character development of the main characters were left out.

That gave purpose and reason as to how the audience should have felt, but since the movie cut out half of it, it made it difficult to connect to either of the two characters or understand the plot. Sophie in the books was way more evil, Agatha was better and eventually grew to enjoy being good and liking who she was.

This I feel changes the entire story because you can actually understand how evil Sophie was. Tedros did not like Agatha until the very end, unlike what was portrayed in the movie.

The aspects mentioned above changes the entire understanding and atmosphere that the movie should have depicted. In that sense it was quite rushed and left me feeling disappointed and wanting more.

Agatha was portrayed as an annoying girl who just wanted to go home instead of a girl who was bullied all her life by others and Sophie but finally understood her place at the school for good and she should have have gotten her moment the same way Sophie accepted her evil.

Overall, it was fun and colorful, dark when it needed to be but it would do better to turn this into a series.

Too similar to other movies made it predictable
27 January 2024
Warning: Spoilers
This movie has taken inspiration from the classic Dil hai ki manta nahi starring Pooja Bhatt and Aamir Khan. The entire scene where Sapna (Karishma) runs away and acts spoilt, gets her bag stolen and then misses the bus was a copy from the movie, only this time done very badly. Salman irritates me in this movie and very obviously violates Sapna by following her and jumping in her bed with her, all of this which is supposedly "cool" and something women should find charming. Salmaan slapping her was very unnecessary. I didnt even bother watching the rest of the movie due to the bad plot and Salmaans cardboard acting. The music was good but otherwise its not something I would ever watch again even if i was bored.

Toy Story 3 (2010)

Moved to tears
15 January 2024
This is the best ending to a trilogy!!! Pixar had done it again. I watched this movie when it came out and I was a pre-teen and didnt see any significance or feel very moved by it but thoroughly enjoyed it from the perspective of a pre-teen and now as a 20-something-year old, I cried my heart out watching this.

The ending was foreshadowed in Toy Story 2 but Pixar created such a great storyline that it was impossible to say it was borrowed or recycled material. There was nothing negative about this movie. It was everything I hoped it would be with some really important lessons in it as well.

After watching it I took out all the toys I packed away and hugged them all... it's difficult not to after watching it again and really feeling that childhood is officially over... or has been for a long time.

Worth watching
14 January 2024
I was looking for something to watch after binge watching only murders in the building and this was good enough. Initially it took me long to settle in and i started the first episode about 4 times over because I zoned out BUT give it some time and watch more and you'll realize that it is actually quite fun to watch.

I have finished both seasons and thoroughly enjoyed both and had a laugh whilst enjoying the story telling of each episode based on the character being interviewed. It was fun and also challenging as almost anyone could have been the killer in both seasons. Its not as great as only murders in the building but its still pretty good and watchable.

There were one or two episodes about Danner that I didnt quite enjoy and didnt really contribute much but it was easy to look over.

Overall, dont let negative reviews turn you away from watching this. I grew attached to the characters and I am sure you will too.

A good watch
8 November 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I was waiting for this movie to come out from a long time because I enjoy reading Agatha Christie and Poirot but this did not sing Poirot. The starting was intriguing, I loved the location it was shot at and the ending had a big twist that I did not really see coming. The characters were good however, the supernatural element kind of killed it for me and also, this Poirot is not the Poirot I know. He did not have as much presence as I hoped he would have. Maybe it has to do with the acting but it did not have the feel of the first two movies.

Overall, it was a good movie not too bad. Enjoyed by the family and a good murder mystery to watch.

Hooked and cant wait for more
8 November 2023
I started watching only murders in the building after seeing a trailer for it and at first I was a bit doubtful but as the season progressed and I got to see and learn more of each character and their traits I fell in love with it. The build up to the climaxes are so enjoyable, it really leaves you wondering who-dunnit?

Its a refreshing take on murder mysteries and I love the cast, they gel well together and honestly without Mabel and her guys the show would not be what it is. It is funny, thrilling and full of drama which I absolutely love. I binged all 3 seasons and cannot wait for a 4th season. What i really liked it that it was not predictable, there were many characters who could have been the murderer and so that was quite nice. Even if there are 10 more seasons but they keep the writing and storylines just as great, I will keep watching.

Barbie (I) (2023)

Pretty good
22 July 2023
I have watched barbie since I was born, I've collected the dolls the dresses and many other barbie themed things. I know all the movies by heart and the songs and I love barbie so when I saw this movies trailer and the marketing I went crazy!! I was so excited to watch it and support this movie.

The beginning of the movie was quite fun and funny, very colorful. Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling play their roles so well and really carry the movie. It contained all the things expected from a barbie movie. The plot was great but halfway through the movie it becomes very serious and turns a bit preachy so if you want to take your kids to the movies to watch this, Id suggest not doing so because I don't think they'll understand much about patriarchy and sexism, its definitely not aimed at younger children (12 and below).

I was hoping for some more funny moments and homage to the barbie movies so I was a tad bit disappointed not to see it however it was still a nice movie, enjoyable and a feel good movie.

I understand the message given out that you can be whoever you want to be but it could have been slightly more light hearted .

Not as great as the first
11 July 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Took my time to watch this one because I am wary of sequels as they turn out to be disappointing. Eventually I decided to watch it but after watching Avatar for a refreshing recap.

This movie starts off great with the "happy ending" for Jake and his new family however this could have been an end scene or like a post credits scene in Avatar. What happens after that is just very boring and disappointing.

The storyline is not creative and somehow the Colonel from the first movie is back as a Na vi. He only came back to kill Sully, which doesnt really make sense but anyway, this movie need not be 3 hours long. It is overly long and although the action sequences and the visuals look great but this movie should have been made and released a long time ago.

The new characters do not hold the same depth as the original characters and there is a bit too much teen drama going on.

I did not complete watching the movie because it started dragging and I got bored. This movie lacked a great storyline like its predecessor so it did not sit well with the audience. It became more about the cgi and visuals which were amazing no lies about that, but there should have been a better storyline.

A really good watch!!
11 July 2023
I have heard much about dungeons and dragons but was reluctant to watch it. Gave it a try and I absolutely loved it! I hope theres more from this.

The cast made a great team and it was nice to see Regé Jean Page in a movie. The actors played their roles quite well and their interactions with one another was genuine which is why the movie was captivating.

It was humorous and light hearted which gave quite a few good laughs.

I wont give away the plot but I must say that it was better than I expected it to be. A very good movie to watch with a good storyline, great acting and even better special effects. A must watch!

A good laugh
8 July 2023
I enjoy watching Rowan Atkinsons movies for a good laugh. Not his best work however if you want to watch something just to laugh and enjoy family time then this is a good movie.

His unbelievable ability to get through otherwise impossible situations by mere dumb luck is what makes the movie so funny as well as his acting skills. The plot was good and anyone that hates the movie just can't be a little light hearted.

Some of the jokes and gimmicks fell flat but there were more funny moments than those that weren't. The characters did their parts well and the setting of the movie was beautiful.

Its a good family movie with comedy. Not the best Johnny English but still watchable.

One of the best endings to an MCU trilogy
8 July 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Finally got down to watching this movie and I waited for it for so long. The wait was definitely worth it!! The way this movie tied off everything was perfect and I havent cried in a movie as well in a very very long time.

This movie focusses on rocket and his backstory which was very very heart touching and emotional. The scene where he tried to save his friends got me crying like a baby. It was heart wrenching to watch but thats what made it so good because the audience could sympathize with his character and also understand and give depth to his actions in the previous 2 movies.

It was a good ending with everyone coming to terms with themselves and accepting who they are. Nebula had a great character arc as well as Mantis and Drax. I loved the storyline, it was interesting and the villain was so hateable which goes to show he did a great job executing his role.

A great movie and also I'm sad to bid adieu to this trilogy. I would definitely love to see more of the guardians but this was an ending we and they all deserved.

Loved it!
7 July 2023
This was such a good movie. I've had this movie on my to be watched list for a long time before watching it and the reason that drew me to watching it was Keira Knightly and Benedict Cumberbatch.

I personally do not know of Alan Turings history nor did I read it up prior to watching the movie. I have heard of his name so it was nice to go into the movie with no knowledge of him and then conducting research after. It really showed the atrocities that people faced by the war and allowed me to see how it affected people.

The acting by the actors was carried out quite well and very believable. Cumberbatch played Turing well and it suited him to play the role. It was a good mix of his invention as well as aspects of his personal life.

If you are watching the movie with kids be aware that there is the theme of homosexuality and it is mentioned briefly which can be awkward but it is not entirely the main focus.

I quite enjoyed the movie. Do watch it.

Not bad but not the Indiana Jones I know
5 July 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Watched this today and went in with some high hopes because Indiana jones were some of the best movies growing up. The theater wasnt very crowded but then again I guess not many of the younger generation know the movies or have even watched them.

The opening was good but I could see where the anti-aging or de-aging process was used which made it difficult to unsee. It was a bit nostalgic in a way to see a "young" harrison playing Indi and chasing bad guy, impersonating bad guys and using his bag of tricks.

The middle part of the plot is Indiana now older, a bit depressed and sad and the character of Helena, his god daughter is introduced. I do not like her character much and I do not think she was the best for the role.

The climax was an okay ending. I expected some kind of twist and was hoping to see more of a younger Indiana Jones going back in time to live through some more adventures but since this is a farewell movie (I guess) it was an okay way to end.

It was an average watch. Not the best from Indiana Jones but its watchable.

A solid 10 for all 3!!
2 July 2023
Warning: Spoilers
So I started watching the trilogy and just completed the last one and well... it was AMAZINGGG!!!

I actually watched dawn of the planet of the apes first until I realized it was the second one so it was really nice to see Caesars back story and how he gained power and intelligence. In a way it was better to see the first movie second.

The CGI was really good. The actors used to voice the apes played their parts well and I loved that not all the apes could speak because that would have taken away from Caesars moments and power. He was such a loveable ape and it really made me cry, especially the ending which I believe ended perfectly.

To see him go through his life with so many challenges that are actually believable was nice. Humans are evil creatures and don't understand that other creatures have lives of their own and to see his son and wife get killed as well as so many other apes, over issues like land and just their existence is general is what touched me because its a topic that is relevant.

The writing for the storyline was well written. It's a movie I will watch with my kids as well. The moment where Caesar speaks for the first time is so amazing I was like YES! Show them!

I absolutely loved this and rate all 3 a 10/10. Do watch this movie, it was an interesting and an eye opening watch.

Renfield (2023)
5/10
OK
2 July 2023
Warning: Spoilers
It was okay at best. I was really excited to watch this movie and seeing Nicholas Hoult as the assistant to a vamp was exciting since he did well in his role of a zombie in warm bodies however, I did not really get the feel of this movie.

First it was too fast paced. Although he gives a backstory I could not relate to his character. It was supposed to be about Renfield so it would have been nicer to get a deeper glance at his past in order to truly understand his present and need to attain freedom from Dracula.

Dracula played by Nicholas Cage was cool and carried out quite nicely however it wasnt all too believable. The swearing was over the top, they could have left out the unnecessary obscene language.

Again with the cops, I couldnt feel anything for her character because she wasnt given much depth. Yes her dad dies but I dont know much else about her other than that and the fact that she's really upset with the Lobos.

It was okay to watch and pass time and I like that it was a bit of a parody of other vamp movies. I would love to see more of Renfields and Draculas past if there are future movies.

Bollywood is failing us
24 June 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Decided to watch Kisi Ka Bhai kisi ki Jaan and from the moment it started I already knew it would be a big flop. Just the starting alone was enough to tick me the wrong way.

As someone that has watched Bollywood movies all my life from the 80's up until now, I can surely say that Bollywood is going down. The storyline is a copy from Veeram. Shocking to say also, but aside from Salman Bhai I did not know who was the other cast.

These new actors seem like someone picked up off the road side with no acting skill whatsoever. The overacting by the 3 brothers and their girlfriends made this unbearable to watch. They cant act, it looks like watching a school play because it is so unrealistic and unbelievable.

The move drags. They show short flashbacks of bhai as a young adult but it does nothing to stir emotion in the audience. The 3 brothers annoy me... sorry to say but their reactions are too unrealistic as well. They tried to bring in a part from a movie Salman actually succeeded in because this movie was such a flop... hoping that the audience will watch to view how it relates but it felt like the movie was just pulling out any card to get viewers to watch this because it was so bad.

Rather watch Veeram but do not watch this rubbish. Totally disappointing. I think its about time Salman Bhai steps down because his acting is exactly the same in every movie and he is becoming stiff with age and cannot even dance anymore. It is shameful to watch him dancing and romancing co stars that could be his daughters age.

Once again Bollywood fails us! Unfortunately I cant give it a 0 but I give it a 1 for trying.

Bones (2005–2017)
10/10
An AMAZINGGG show (do not let the lower ratings put you off)
4 June 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I started off watching Bones as suggested by a friend who knew I thoroughly enjoy crime shows and books. I have also read Kathy Reichs books before watching this show. Many of the reviews that complain about the show being unrealistic is correct, its a tv show after all BUT it is extremely enjoyable.

The characters manage to solve crimes using high tech that would not otherwise be found in a museum and they manage to find who committed the murder quite fas however procedures like these usually take weeks and months in a more realistic setting. I have watched up until season 4 now and I really enjoy the characters and their quirks. I love the chemistry between Booth and Brennan and can't wait for them to get together however I also know that might drastically change the feel of the show and also the characters.

Booth is a great FBI agent and I like how he cares about Brennan. Brennan on the other hand while highly intellectual and smart can be a bit overbearing and annoying at times, especially during season 4. Theres times when I cant believe that someone can be so oblivious or unsympathetic. Also the way she treats her father is quite annoying, I get her backstory but then the way she handles it is immature. She doesn't listen to Sweets advice either and does the opposite of what he tells her.

Hodgins, Angela Cam are okay. Hodgins has somewhat more depth than Angela and Cam and Zack was an okay character, he was great in the lab and I wish I got to see more of him. Sweets is funny, I love his character and I think he's good for the team.

There could have been more done to explain some of the events that took place like the gormagon and gravedigger killers which I felt were a bit rushed because there is no real explanation of why they did what they did or how or when. That could have definitely been improved.

Overall each episode is a "who- dunnit?" But I dont mind that because I watch it for the entertainment and to challenge myself to see if I can catch the killer first. It is not yet totally predictable and I like the suspense and unfolding of events to catch the killer. If you are going to scrutinize the details and hate it for how unrealistic it is you will not enjoy it. As said before, it is a tv show and is not meant to be realistic but rather just for people to enjoy watching crime and forensics.

I give this show a big thumbs up and I do recommend watching it.

It gets annoying
6 November 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I started watching this a few months ago and thoroughly enjoy it. I have just started season 5 and I can already feel it going downhill as some characters just get super annoying. The worst is Meredith and Derek with their issues. Meredith behaves badly towards Lexie all the time and only cares about her stupid relationship with Derek- which has been the same thing for the last 4 seasons where they constantly breakup and make up... Derek is arrogant and cant stick to one woman and he keeps blaming Meredith for everything wrong with their relationship when he was wrong in more than one way as well.

Dr Hahn is annoying, the way she treated Yang was wrong and even though she was reprimanded regarding this, it was still painful to watch. Lexie annoys me too because she thinks she knows everything and when she read the others files and stole from the hospital it made me dislike her character even more.

I like the other characters and their growth, Addison by far improves the most and is actually a really nice person when she gets back from LA.

The show is good, the medical miracles are unbelievable and there's a lot to learn but I feel they start dragging eventually and the plot eventually becomes nonsensical.
