Merry Textmas (2022)
A lot of fun.
I sort of fell on it by accident and took a chance, and I was glad I did. Overall, I think Merry Textmas was the right mixture of entertainment, cheesiness, and Christmas family spirit. I really enjoyed Ariana's performances and her chemistry with Rodrigo was believable and fun. I enjoyed the Spanish-- it added a ton of realism to the entire project.
The supporting characters all did a great job and supported the leads very well. I would love to see Hallmark include much more cultural diversity in their future movies. Discovering this Latino culture added power and love to the experience.
It's definitely a Christmas flick I'd recommend.
Fit for Christmas (2022)
A Christmas Winner!
This was actually really fun and definitely better than your normal Hallmark Christmas movie but some of the choices were not my cup of tea. I think the love-and-hate back and forth between the two leads became a bit of a cliché by the end. As a matter of fact, I much preferred Audrey's story-line with Bradley. Their scenes were more interesting and genuinely had us wondering if he'd win her back or not. The proposal moment had me grinning from ear to ear. I was even hoping the final twist would be them ending together. The Lisa and Jim moments were so very sweet, especially with the pregnancy reveal, oh my God!
For her first time in a lead role, I think Amanda Kloots did a great job, and injecting her fitness background in the character was genius. Paul Greene was hunky-dory as he always is. And I never saw him before, but the actor playing Bradley did a marvelous job with such a sweet and heartfelt performance.
Overall, Fit for Christmas was tons of fun from CBS that I'd recommend to anyone who likes Christmas TV Movies.
