Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker (2019)
Someone must have been drinking on this movie...how does one even write this crap?
So this is the end, THANK THE MAKER! Here is my take away:
DISNEY CANNOT COME UP WITH ANYTHING NEW!
1 Palpatine is back...life supported with cataracts, has a shriveled body, with face younger then 30 years ago? Remember that he was sent down a reactor shaft (and he was electrocuting himself), then supposably he was blown up in a former Death Star (that has chunks of it that still exist from the explosion that landed on the planet below?). No disintegration? WHAT? Need I say more? He is also now the power of the universe now, doesn't even need a Death Star anymore. He just shoots massive lightning bolts out of his hands now to destroy spaceships. Why again can Jedi not have relationships or use lightning too?
2. Rey...The kiss done by Rey was probably the best scene, and as I said from the last movie, there wouldn't even be a movie without her, because it would be rather bland. She's not a very good shooter though with a gun however, jedi skills seem lost. She doesn't feel sorry for her parents in the end of the movie? She doesn't want to go by there name, even though they tried to save her from her grandfather Palpatine? Man that just sucks. Now she is a Skywalker!?
3. Luke is now a Hippy ghost, and Han is a bum on the street ghost. Maybe Disney was trying to reenact the Christmas carol. Leia a Jedi Master, that was a former Mary Poppins Magneto in space, give me a break Disney. Useless characters.
4. Death Star to a silly planet killer to now 1000 warships that all have planet killer on them. WTH?
5. Storm troopers with useless body armor, might as well have been watching Commando as the way they are picked off one by one. I laugh at even writing this anymore. Why is the enemy always British and white too?
6. Was this a movie or some side story adventures with no real meaning? Who writes this crapola? If Rey kills Palpatine, she is damned, and if she doesn't she's damned. Kylo dies and brings her back to life, then he vanishes as a good ol boy Jedi. Even though he murdered probably thousands?!
Disney please stop while your ahead, or just make some movies on Rey, she is the only future you got. Man, and I thought Lucas screwed Up with and after Rotj. Or better yet make something new, outside of this boring replay refashion universe we already know!
The only star wars that matter is the the first two, the rest need to be redone. My most favorite flop scene is still the Qui-Gon Jin roll over after he is stabbed in Episode 1 by Darth Maul. All we need to do now is find the high ground if it even exists in these movies anymore. Doesn't anyone in production team ever notice this crap on scene before it makes the cut? LOL
Avengers: Endgame (2019)
Glad I didn't spend money at the theater on this garbage film, time to redo this whole series. How did this get 8.6 after 500k votes is ludicrous
I really tried to be objective here, and there is way too much to say then what I have written below. I like many of these Marvel films, but 3/4 Avenger movies has been way below average. People that said this is the best movie ever, comparing it to all time greats, you got to be kidding me, right? A new gen movie obviously, People really need to sit down and watch some classics for heaven sakes! After all the comics, this one made was the biggest failure of them all. The ol' Sayin don't quit your day job applies here. The film fails in so many ways. Where to begin. Start with a fat Thor, about as stupid as it comes. Hands the kingship over to a Valkyrie? Give me a break. Where was his power? He was as weak as hawk eye. There not all equal. Thanos would not have been able to stop the Cap. America with the hammer and Thor with the axe at the same time, impossible. Cmon Hollywood. Total nightmare movie garbage. Too many characters, way too much blah here. This was a typical sexual/racist/political movie of all the nowaday stereo types. It's like you couldn't make it more obvious. Nice try to slam Trump's 2016 win with Tony Stark's liberal comments in beginning of movie, it was a spin. H-wood must think we're stupid that we don't pick these things up. How about the sob comments by capt america? Was that even needed? Surprise they just don't use the f word constantly in these pg13 movies. Where was the hulk man? The cartoon movie was way better then this nonsense. So many loop holes. I still see no reason why Dr. Strange had to give up the space stone. Maybe he was in cohorts with Thanos. That would have been better then just handing it over. Time travel? Ok but, anytime you go in the past you have already impacted the future. Just by someone seeing you has already made a changes = the future is messed up. What would have been better is to have gone back and talking to your former self like in Batman vs Superman and give yourself a warning. Even with that it still would have a impact. But even if you follow the that plot they did, where was Loki after the Teserak grab? They missed a huge opportunity for his come back surprise moment. Who writes this crap? I'm Tired of these slap um together blah script movies with so many flaws. Cmon Robert Downey Jr, even you could have done this better. That's how you wanted to go out? Iron man 1&2 so way better then these. This is exactly why they need to keep super hero's to there own story line. Best movie of these series is Iron Man 1, Dr. Strange, Thor Ragarnok, CivilWar, Iron man 2, Thor 1, Avengers 1, maybe Capt. Marvel and winter soldier. Everything else is a F, and it was just like putting slop on your plate, military style.
Avengers: Infinity War (2018)
Could have been done better, and so many characters now...crazy
Marvel's biggest issue in my opinion is that there is just too much to take from comics, as it is a giant cluster mess. There is so many marvel characters now that some are just not that great and they shouldn't exist. Black panther is a yawn, and same with the second iron man (pure stupid, along with a 3rd in Banner? Are you kidding me right now?) and new younger spiderboy (even more dumb), which I feel shouldn't be in this series. Then you have that assasin girl (stupid, not even a super hero, just some average joe with moves stronger then aliens? Cmon hollywood!) Speaking of spiderboy (he doesnt deserve to be called man) He should have enough strength and then some to pull that glove off that Thanos hand easily. As i was saying too many plots to pull off. Too many unknowns left on table because of Dr. Strange. No antman was strange too...No real explanation of some things too, like the reality stone. The movie worked, but sloppily in terms of things. Without Thor this movie would have been not very good. There is a reason why Asgard was set on top of the Tree, as they are the most powerful. I really think they are headed for clash with like Galactus and other bigger enemies and when Fox is bought out by Disney it will lead to the Xmen joining too, gets bigger and worse. Good luck.
Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018)
Closer to Star Wars then the rest...
This was a enjoyable film by Ron Howard. Thought it was played out well, like the fact that Darth Maul is back in action, I think they have multiple plots to come up with now, with Maul being in play. I thought the acting was as perfect as one could get to playing Han's younger role, and the same for Lando too. The only scene that maybe they could have redone would be how he met Chewy, but it works. I think there is some alternate routes that could have been done involving how he became a extreme pilot other then just flying cars. They had the right idea by putting him in the empire pilot, but then becoming a infantry man? I am not so sure. But they still made it work. Perhaps there could have been another way to entice Lando in a game to put out his Ship, at seems that this all happened so fast like. Maybe he could have won it from him by a bet being placed instead? I always thought that he may have won it from a card game, but a bet could have worked maybe better here. The droid was annoying, equal rights also, but for the most part at least they got rid of it quickly so that it didn't end up as Jar Jar. What can you say its a side story made up as they go. I think they'll have plans for several movies out of this one. Good luck Disney.
Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi (2017)
Rey is hot, Leia turned into Magneto, and was it me, or is this another redux of EMPIRE\ ROTJ?
Hollywood has not been able to come up with a fresh new idea for a script of any kind of fantasy in a long long time, as in a galaxy so far far away. This one proves it. It Wasn't a bad movie, but it was seen before in other movies. Rey is super hot in the movie, without her it dies. Luke was made into a, "I'm getting to old for this blank." Also half of the plots fell flat or left empty. There was also this wasted half and hour of getting the code breaker to take down the shields of another Dread Naught? What the? What about Leia turning into Magneto\Mary Poppins in outer space? What the? I swear someone must have been drinking something when this movie was being made. So here is my question, who is Snoke anyway? Is Rey going to be Kylo Rens girlfriend or what? Man, I wish Star Wars would go back and start over and create a Qui Jon Jin and Obi one kenobi movie before episode I. Or some Kinghts of the old republic movie, or go into the Clone wars with Anakin and Obi one kenobi, I would love to see more on Gen. Grevious and Count Dooku. The beginning of episode III was spot on in my opinion, not so much afterwards, but you know, whatever...Disney please for the sake of the franchise, just hire me for a creation of a really good movie to be made. There is hundreds of plots that I could come up with to make Star Wars incredible again if i was given time to think about it. Otherwise you have yourself another Mummy type movies is all, great fun but not a whole lot to them.
Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017)
Another Harry Pottering-it movie hogwash...
Out of 6 spiderman movies it has come to this. Another blow-em-up twist of nonsense movie. Bionic spidy suits? 14 years old? People know who spiderman is? What!? Why does this always happen two a great comic like this? This now becoming the new set of Harry potter films for spiderman, or I should say spiderboy. Completely made for the demographics of 5-18. If you thought this was the best movie ever, then you are most likely from those certain ages or have forgotten what a really good movie is. Time for new direction, dump the director, I can't even believe that Stan Lee would put his name to this. Half of the action is so closeup, that half of the time you cannot even make out what is going on. Typical of modern action flicks. All about making fast money, and they just don't care. Cmon Hollywood! Why do you think nobody is going to movies anymore?
Rogue One (2016)
Disney, Is it too much to ask, to let me be the next Star Wars Writer\Editor, because your people DO NOT KNOW STAR WARS!
Is it just me, or did anyone else wonder the same thing as me after watching this film, saying to myself, WHAT, WHY, and HOW? What in blazes afternoon was princess Leia doing at a gunfight above the planet crapola? Why was there a war, instead of a covert operation that was missing? So much for a the AT-ACT surprise in Episode V where it belongs for revenge as a unstoppable force, instead to a complete wreckage of garbage dumpheap for our eyes. Totally out of place. I give the movie a 6 for the old time sake, but not more then that. Again, way, way, too many flaws, and parts that needed to be cut out of movie entirely, like the wasted first 15 minutes. Disney please just call me, I could have made a better script, and actually follow episode IV to the T, I'll give the the audience a movie that they should have had, and with such conspiracy elements, that you would be forced to make a movie in the Clone Wars just to satisfy this movie. I could make you trillions instead of millions on what Darth Vader should have done in that movie, along with Tarkin, and also those wannabe first episode (IV) patriots that stole a ship?, that sacrificed there lives in bringing this information with a war? And brought with them Red 5, and Gold Leader?, to steal the most highly secured plans in the universe?, should have done. AKA, it's sort of been done already, a film with Tom Cruise, its called mission impossible, that no one on the production must have not ever watched. The missing link of creatures was out of this film too (how come bugs in episode II come up with the Idear of destruction, but can't help build it, or belong in the science team?!), along with Storm troopers are treated mostly like incapacitated morons for the most part, too much cgi (and if you are going to use cgi, it would have been nice to see the freaking Death Star move in Light speed on the screen!), and where the crap planet are we? It was so all over the place, I thought for a moment even a person like me who knows Star Wars so well was lost. My biggest beef with this movie is the primary flaw of how Leia got the stolen transmissions, what in tar-nations happened with the several transmissions were beamed aboard this ship from episode IV? Maybe it was lost in the translation of where the crap was Luke Skywalker in episode VII? Can we please just go back to Episode IV and V, watch it and realize that this will never be done again?
Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens (2015)
Another Episode I, II and VI, No Luke?! This movie deserved better...
Is it me, or did anyone else sense that J.J. Abram's hands were tied in this movie, as compared to how good his reboot for Star Trek was? Everyone for the most part, complained that George Lucas was not able to create the Star Wars magic after episode IV and V (Episode VI is NOT included, as it was the beginning of the end for Lucas, which started when the first Ewok came on the scene...You could argue that Lucas brought back some of his charm into episode I (conspiracy element, and Jedi Lore, but it also came with impossible loose ends, and Jar Jar Binks, and even Ewan Mcgregor and Liam Nesson who did great, couldn't save this movie. It was like Titanic, all you want to do is watch some pod racing and go to the final battle. With Episode II, you have Queen Amidala getting mauled, I mean scratched by a giant cat, need I say more? Episode III, was Lucas final shot at getting it right, and he did many things really well, right up until how he showed how Anakin became Darth Vader, and it was a disaster of sorts from that point on. Trying to find the 'high ground' in this movie, that was remotely salvageable was possibly Yoda's light saber battle versus the Emperor, and Mcgregor's acting ability. These first three movies in my opinion were just a little too big for Lucas to handle, maybe it should have been broken up into other movies, as he had too many elements that needed to drive these movies several different directions that would eventually have led up to Episode IV, A New Hope. Episode III was by far a better plotted out movie then episode VI. However by the end of this Episode VII, the Force Awakens, I was trying to find a way to execute order 66, so that I could be able to make some sense of several things that took place in this movie. All the anticipation of looking forward to this move and it came off as a rip off of a former world with new players. It was still yet along the lines of episode I, and II and VI. With no Luke Skywalker in the movie, it became a drag to watch. They took everyone for a ride on this one, in essence lying to everyone, as there were high expectations on what should have happened in this movie to a point. I believe most thought that you were going to see the Luke in Jedi glory, with light saber scenes that should have rivaled Darth Maul. Instead you got less then expected, typical...The light saber battles are awkward because of the lack of experience on all sides, might as well have used a blaster, it would have made more sense then her suddenly becoming attuned to the force. I hate those type of loopholes, as it's like her whole life is a mystery, and then suddenly she has this keen sense to fly the Falcon and then knows how to understand the force, without any training whatsoever, it's like CMON MAN. The story of Han Solo going back to smuggler is about as stupefying as him becoming a General. Why would he go back to doing that garbage when he would have become rich, which was what he always wanted anyway! I didn't mind Solo's death, I actually was thinking this would happen, as Ford wanted out of this misery of Star Wars as it showed when he was out in public. Leia was very old and needed to be taken out of the movie entirely, I was hoping the planet might destroy her as her role was really weak, and she didn't even look her age, more like she was a wanta be young woman with lots of botox and dyed hair. There was moments where lack of emotion was present throughout the movie, and cgi graphic mumbo jumbo didn't help, sometimes you wish they would go back to episode IV and see how much more real it is just to put on makeup on a person, they still don't know how to get this right, Transformers did a good job, so perhaps they should go talk to those guys on how to do it properly. Kylo Ren didn't even look like Solo or Leia, and cracked me up as I thought he might be out of a rock band or something. The Evil commander on the planet, which was played by a dude out of harry potter? Seemed out of sorts for the role. He was much too young to be such a person, and a wanta be Grand Moff Tarkin. List goes on and on...In the end, 30 years has past, and the movie needs another 30 years to get it right! I'm wondering how much the Disney Board had influence on this movie, as I think that Abram had a chance to make a special movie here and failed. If this is your fault J.J. Abrams, then please stick with Star Trek instead, as you blew your chance on this one.
