Erbsen auf halb 6 (2004)
Perfect Mix
I am so tired of boring, normal love stories as well as deep, sorrowful cinema. In this movie, I found the perfect combination of these two.
Without humor, it would be a normal love story, with blind people, but still a love story. I think, this film doesn't want to show the problems of blind people in detail or how a person, becoming blind deals with it. It is a modern fairy tale. And it's a very good one! It is a perfect film for a couple who want to have a romantic, nice evening.
If you liked this movie, you might also like "Jenseits der Stille", a movie about deaf people and a love story as well.

Coyote Ugly (2000)
Better buy a magazine
I watched this movie with a female and male friend. Both were very excited, one because of the girls and one because of Adam Garcia. I watched this movie mainly in expectation of some good music video style dancing scenes and pretty girls. Well, one can't deny that they look good, but they don't blow you off the couch. I was mainly disappointed by the bring use of light and camera. I think most of the scenes could have been great ones, but they stuck into a switch from camera A to camera B and flash a little bit of light. I didn't have the feeling of being in a big party, but in a dirty, loud bar.
The girls were so obviously superficial, I can't believe anyone older than sixteen finds those women attractive.
About the plot: There is none and the bit of plot that can be found is so predictable, you don't even need to watch until the end.
The most disappointing fact is this happy end and the fulfilling of the `American Dream' that makes everybody happy ad everybody smiles and says: America, Land of freedom were all you're dreams come true. I realized just later that there is a quite big amount of American flags which is quite annoying, since this film isn't a patriotic one in the first place.
If you want to see nice girls dancing, watch some R'NB Music clips or buy a magazine. But don't watch this film. It is not worth it.
Babylon 5 (1993)
Catching from beginning to end
When Babylon 5 started in Germany, all I knew was Star Trek. Especially Deep Space Nine what was really big. But I was fed up with the semi-continuously plot. Dominian fights, great, but then two episodes about Sissy Sisko and Quark and whoever. In Babylon 5, they had a story line. They developed a story that caught me from the first minute. Every episode I was unable to see went on tape. As a real fan, you understand why the characters act that way. You get an ultimate picture of what it is all about, a lot of rumers, hints that are explained later in the series.
The Series arouses questions about the meaning of life, the question why we are here, about the universe etc.
My Sci-Fi life nearly ended with the end of Babylon 5.
