Imaginary (2024)
Had so much potential
This started so good, but what the heck happened? It had so much promise but boom ..... it became too unbelievable and unnecessary. I'm not trying to give any spoilers away but as soon as they decided to go to the imaginary world, the movie started going down the drain. The beginning was so good and I wanted much more for the movie. The dad's character was a waste by the way and there was no chemistry between the new wife and husband. I'm glad he got in that cab/uber and left for bus business trip. I do appreciate the ending plot twists that made me come back in and become interested. And I thought that kid ran away .... I'm so confused.
Power Book IV: Force: Power Powder Respect (2023)
Well.... Dang
This episode was a lotttttttttt to take in!! Like wow! I can't stand DMac! At all like woah! Did yall hear the way he talked to his father? Distance or not, present or not... nobody should ever be talked to like that. It was a lot that was said by DMac that was just completely unnecessary. He makes irrational decisions and doesn't consult people about it until things are already messed up. He's just moving too fast, doing too much, and trying to be "street" but moves recklessly. Catching a body is not the only thing that makes you hard... he has no respect or street code... just violence violence violence with no clear motive. Also... Vic yeah you gotta go too buddy .im only half way done with this episode and its just been a lot. I like Diamond a lot and wish things would turn up for him immediately.
Quiz Lady (2023)
More Please
I wish there were more movies in this generation like this this! This movie was hysterically funny! Nothing was expected or cliche! I love the casting, the adventure and the storyline! I stumbled on this movie while scrolling through Hulu and was intrigued. I'm glad I gave it a chance. It was also interesting seeing Sandra play something other than in Grey's Anatomy and I'm not even a Grey's Anatomy fan, but Sandra is an amazing actress. So many parts of this movie, I had to rewind and rewatch and rewind and rewatch, because it was so funny. Please please please watch this movie. And I'm not even one of those people that are fan of movies today.
Hoarders: Carol (2020)
"Carol Can"
I chose this episode at random and my selection did not disappoint. I love having an open mind and understanding mental health and how bad it can really get. The mind is a fascinating and dangerous thing. There was a lot to take in within the first 20 minutes!
Everyone hates Carol
I'm a little intrigued by this suicide story, I can almost believe that Carol or Dave had something to do with it. I feel like they probably gaslit her into committing the "deed"
The psychiatrist/psychologist seems a little robotic and cold hearted.
I need people to understand that it's okay to have a hard time processing the death of a parent, it's hard.
No one can go down to the basement, "but Carol can" that was definitely a crazy statement and it makes the watcher assume Carol had something to do with the past wife's death.
Power Book IV: Force: Dead Reckoning (2023)
It's just a show, Right?
Watching this episode definitely took me through the wringer. I feel like Tommy should know that Vic is playing him. Leon dying was definitely expected, I saw that coming. I don't know why the police let his mom get that close to him. This was not a close crime scene or close to being realistic. Regardless of Diamonds involvement, the kid already had enemies that's why diamond wanted him to learn how to fight. The show has been pretty good this season other than small bits and pieces.
I would also like to mention how the Mom knew who diamond was and still chose to sleep with him, and then decided to bring up how she doesn't want him around her son. If you knew what type of person he was, that means you used him to get what you needed, whether that's companion or a role model for a little time being.
Misanthrope (2023)
had so much potential!
I'm not a crazy movie critic! It started off amazing and had so much potential. Things definitely went side ways quickly! How is someone going to kill over 40 people and get caught slacking by being bit? The mother getting killed was random. He had all the power in the world to keep Dropping people and getting away with it. It sucks because it started off very good but the ball kept getting dropped. Why didn't you build a relationship with the characters so the sad music would have more effect or when they died we would care more. I wish the main character (girl) would have gotten shot at the end and made a perfect set up of curiosity and a part 2. If they wanted to make a girl finally get seen, great job but boring.
Karen (2021)
Minding your business does a body good
This movie is not even bad. I feel like people try to play Director and producer when they watching a movie instead of getting the message out of the movie. This is the type of movie that makes you angry as a BIPOC! If Karen would have just minding her business, she won't be in any of these situations. Losing her spot on the board with her fault. She needs to take series accountability. I also will Imani and Malik finally go get a lawyer I was mad at Karen because what do you mean they're going to ruin us?? Girl you did that to yourself. You hate them so much but you are always trying to see what they're doing, how they're doing, this that and the third! This goes on a lot in America and it sucks! Instead of watching the movie to find the errors, just understand it's not written for your critique of camera placement or casting calls.
