I knew only the basics about MH370, so when I saw this "documentary" listed I decided to give it a watch. All I wanted were the facts and educated opinions from people qualified to give them. Going into it I was a little surprised to see it's a three part presentation. How could it possibly take that long to tell the story? Well, now I know. When you apparently have no time constraints and choose to devote most of the time to convoluted conspiracy theories with no requirement that they be rooted in reality, then it's no wonder the thing came out so long. If they had stuck to evidence it likely could have been wrapped up in an hour or less.
I'd be hard pressed to pick which theory was the most ludicrous, but when part three was devoted to the fevered ramblings of the French journalist (with a book to sell), I lost patience and gave up hope of it ever returning to a factual basis. I'm a USAF veteran with some insight into the things she was alleging, and they were so nonsensical I gave up and fast forwarded through the remainder of her time on screen, which took up most of part three. A couple of the interviewees who seemed more rooted in reality were given a brief rebuttal, and they could hardly conceal their contempt for her theories. Why wasn't the presentation more centered around people like them? Because sensationalism is what sells, not truth and honesty.
If convoluted, far-fetched nonsense (aka "Occam's Facepalm") on the level of one of those junk cable TV shows about Bigfoot, UFOs, or buried treasure is your thing, by all means, give this series a watch. For those with even a modicum of critical thinking ability, look elsewhere.
