The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (2005)
Excellent for all ages!
C.S.Lewis has come to the fore as the latest in what hopefully will be a continuing line of critically acclaimed writers.Lewis has spawned a great visual work and plot for us all to enjoy.this first installment of The Chronicles Of Narnia IS a Must See!The theater remained full throughout the film. Narnia will most definitely be in the running for Best Picture honors. Tilda Swinton gives a very believable performance as the the witch/sorceress/warrior. I personally left the theater and returned twice more after each showing. Narnia may not be viewed as the greatest of all time , but it will be ranked up there with the very best of all time!
What's the Worst That Could Happen? (2001)
It's all that!
No wonder the Unemployed Critic is unemployed! Myself, along with a host of others feel that this movie is a pretty decent comedy about two unscrupulous dogs fighting over a bone. Martin Lawrence does a fine job showing audiences how seamlessly he can tone down his comic intensity to fit his character.Danny DeVito is his usual impeccable self. this movie gets two thumbs up!
Equilibrium (2002)
Equilibrium is the best non hyped, low budget film I've seen in years!
This movie should have been released with more fanfare. It is an excellent action movie, well photographed with a good plot.It has been said that it has no big name stars! Are Christian Bale and Taye Diggs chopped liver? Both actors have large followings and both do their craft extreme justice, with their performances!!! If you haven't seen this one...Do It!!!
John Q (2002)
Excellent Motion Picture!
This movie is an excellent comentary,on the state of the American Health Care System;or lack thereof.Strong performances by an excellent Cast...notably Denzel & Kimberly Elize, bring a very good understanding to audiences concerning this issue!
Evolution (2001)
Entertaining!
Good blend of comedy and sci-fi! Duchovny and Jones work adequately together! I found myself rewinding certain scenes repeatedly! On the 1-10 scale I'll give it a 6!
Spiders (2000)
Not a bad movie!
This movie started slowly then gradually built it's excitement! Pretty decent special effects even with bad theory! The best acting was done by the characters who died first! On a scale of 1-10 this movie is a 6!
