better than Gabriel's Inferno part 1!
5 March 2022
Before I start my review I just want to let people know that the original Gabriel's Inferno movie was initially over 5 hours long because the book it was based on is very long, so in order to reduce the run-time, they had to cut the movie into 3 separate parts, part 1 was released in May 2020 and part 2 was released on July 31, part 3 finishes the story of the first book and was released in November 2020. So parts 1, 2 and 3 are basically just 1 whole movie cut into 3 parts and they are all based on the first book of the Gabriel's Inferno series.

Now to my review, I loved part 1 but it pales compared to part 2, while part 1 mainly introduced the characters and very slow-paced, the story continues in part 2 and this is when the relationship between the main characters Gabriel and Julia really intensifies and becomes a lot more passionate and intimate and romantic. There is not much story to part 2 other than watching the 2 characters finding each other again and falling in love with each other, part 2 is a lot more passionate and erotic and sensual because of the intensity of their relationship and a lot more romantic compared to part 1. While I thought the acting was not bad and the chemistry between the actors was good in part 1, but the acting and chemistry really elevated to new heights in part 2, the acting improves in part 2 and the chemistry between Giulio and Melanie is incredible! I can really feel the deep love they have for each other in every scene with them!

the best part of Gabriel's Inferno!
5 December 2020
So this is the last part for the 'Gabriel's Inferno' movie, which was cut into 3 parts. As much as I love the first 2 parts, but part 3 is without a doubt the best part! Part 3 had more drama with the appearance of Julia's abusive ex boyfriend Simon, and more details about Gabriel's and Julia's pasts are revealed, part 3 is also faster paced compared to the first 2 parts because there was more going on. And it's wonderful to watch the beautiful love and relationship between Gabriel and Julia deepen and blossom even more in part 3! And the chemistry between Giulio and Melanie is absolutely perfect and phenomenal! I have seen many actors with good on-screen chemistry, but undoubtedly Giulio & Melanie have the BEST chemistry I have ever seen by far both on-screen and in real-life! I loved every minute of part 3, but all their scenes in beautiful Florence are my favourites. Many people compare this to '50 shades of grey' and some even accuse Gabriel's Inferno of being a 50 shades "copy", but the truth is the original Gabriel's Inferno book that these movies are based on was actually released BEFORE 50 shades, so this accusation is false. And Gabriel's Inferno is very different to 50 shades, while 50 shades is mostly about sex and lust & S&M, Gabriel's Inferno is a slow-burn romance focusing more on the emotional aspects of love & romance and building deeper more meaningful relationships between the characters. And Gabriel is very different to Christian, while Christian loves S&M & treats women like mere sex objects, Gabriel as a lover is far more gentle and loving and he treats the woman he loves with respect & dignity, he doesn't abuse Julia, instead he showers her with real love & affection and treats her like a princess. And the storylines are completely different, GI is about 2 broken people with traumatic pasts who fall in love, then lost each other then found each other again 6 years later when they become professor & student. The first 2 books in the GI series focuses on their forbidden lovestory while they try to hide their relationship from the university. So I don't understand why people would think this is a "copy" of 50 Shades when they are both so different in terms of characters & storylines. Anyone comparing this to 50 shades clearly don't know the difference between love and lust, I think many people's idea of "romance" nowadays is just raunchy sex, but love & romance is so much more than just sex, movies like 50 shades & 365 days glorify sex & are full of raunchy meaningless sex & forcing women into abusive relationships, that's not "love", it's just lust & abuse. The Gabriel's Inferno series has always been different, it's about REAL love, focusing more on the emotional connection & love between 2 people, it takes it's time to develop the characters & the relationships hence it's slower-paced, but this means Gabriel's Inferno focuses on creating deep & meaningful relationships and real passion based on true love, not meaningless raunchy sex. Unlike 50 shades & 365 days, the Gabriel's Inferno series is a classic romance story about courtly love.

Anyway overall I think part 1 of GI was good, part 2 was better but part 3 is the best! I can't wait for the sequels 'Gabriel's Rapture' and 'Gabriel's Redemption'!

Good adaptation of a great book!
19 November 2020
Before I start my review I just want to let people know that the original Gabriel's Inferno movie was initially over 5 hours long because the book it was based on is very long, so in order to reduce the run-time, they had to cut the movie into 3 separate parts, part 1 was released in May 2020 and part 2 was released on July 31, and part 3 was released on November 19 2020. So parts 1, 2 and 3 are basically just 1 whole movie cut into 3 parts and they are all based on the first book of the Gabriel's Inferno series.

Now to my review, this is just part 1 of the Gabriel's Inferno movie which only covers the first 1/3 of the first book, which mostly focuses on introducing the main characters and establishing the relationship between Gabriel & Julia, so it's a bit slow paced. But I think it serves as a good introduction to the Gabriel's Inferno story, and a good adaptation of a great novel and they stayed very true to the books so far. Usually movies that are adapted from books don't live up to the source material but I was pleasantly surprised at just how close this movie stayed true to the original novels, the 2 leads Giulio Berruti and Melanie Zanetti were also great as Gabriel and Julia respectively, they are exactly how I had imagined their characters would be like when I read the books and they have great chemistry together. Yes this movie was made with a low budget and it was apparent, but you don't necessarily need a big budget to make a good movie.

Overall I think part 1 is good, but part 2 is even better, the acting, the chemistry, the relationship between Gabriel and Julia, everything in part 2 is better.

I highly recommend people watch all 3 parts in order to understand the whole story of the first book. I can't wait for the sequels 'Gabriel's Rapture' and 'Gabriel's Redemption'!

Good!
13 August 2020
So this is part 1 of 'Gabriel's Rapture' based on the second book of the same name from the Gabriel's book series written by Sylvain Reynard, which is also 1 of my favourite book series. Like the first movie 'Gabriel's Inferno' that was adapted from the first book which was cut into 3 parts, 'Gabriel's Rapture' will also be cut into 3 parts because the movie is so long, so far only part 1 of Rapture has been released so I'll only be reviewing part 1 for now.

The story picks up right after the events of Gabriel's Inferno part 3, with Gabriel & Julia in Florence Italy, Gabriel had to present a lecture at the Uffizi museum & decided to take his girlfriend & student Julia with him to Italy. In part 1 we get to learn a little bit more about Gabriel's past and see the relationship between him and Julia develop even more, but their relationship is also complicated due to the arrival of Gabriel's vindictive ex girlfriend Paulina who will cause some problems for the couple later in the story. Julia's former friend & roommate Natalie who had an affair with Julia's ex Simon also makes her first appearance in part 1, she will also complicate things for Julia further into the story.

Part 1 only covers the first 1/3 of the Gabriel's Rapture book and is a little bit slower paced, it's mainly focused on developing Gabriel & Julia's relationship further and introducing some newer characters to the story like Paulina and Natalie. Most of the drama in Rapture will happen eventually in part 2 when Gabriel & Julia's forbidden relationship is finally exposed to the university. Part 2 will be released later this month so I am looking forward to seeing all the drama unfold in part 2.

But in the meantime, I still enjoyed part 1, even though it is slow paced, because I love the beautiful lovestory between Gabriel and Julia so much and always love seeing the incredible chemistry between the actors Giulio and Melanie on-screen!

I'm looking forward to watching parts 2 and 3 of Rapture, which will delve deeper and further into the story of the second book.
