Finch (2021)
8/10
"Finch" is a masterfully crafted film that will linger in the minds of viewers long after the credits roll. With its compelling storyline, standout performances, and breathtak
28 April 2024
Set in a post-apocalyptic future where Earth's atmosphere has become toxic and uninhabitable, "Finch" follows the journey of its titular character, brilliantly portrayed by Hanks. Finch is a reclusive inventor who, along with his loyal canine companion Goodyear and a sophisticated robot named Jeff, embarks on a perilous cross-country journey in search of a new home.

What sets "Finch" apart is its emphasis on character development and emotional depth. Despite being a sci-fi film, at its core, it's a story about love, loss, and the resilience of the human spirit. As Finch grapples with his own mortality and the challenges of navigating a world devoid of humanity, he forms a deep bond with Jeff, whose artificial intelligence evolves throughout the journey.

The relationship between Finch and Jeff is the heart of the film, with Hanks delivering a nuanced and heartfelt performance that tugs at the audience's heartstrings. Their interactions are both humorous and poignant, highlighting the complexities of human emotion and the capacity for connection in even the most unlikely of circumstances.

Visually, "Finch" is stunning, with breathtaking cinematography that captures the desolate beauty of the post-apocalyptic landscape. From the vast, barren wastelands to the eerie remnants of a once-thriving civilization, each scene is meticulously crafted to immerse viewers in the world of the film.

But perhaps the most impressive aspect of "Finch" is its thought-provoking exploration of ethical dilemmas and the implications of artificial intelligence. As Jeff grapples with questions of identity and free will, the film raises important questions about the nature of consciousness and the ethical responsibilities that come with creating sentient beings.

Overall, "Finch" is a masterfully crafted film that will linger in the minds of viewers long after the credits roll. With its compelling storyline, standout performances, and breathtaking visuals, it's a must-see for fans of thought-provoking sci-fi cinema.

Madame Web (2024)
4/10
Good story but poor execution
3 March 2024
Warning: Spoilers
A superheroes movie with no superheroes in it A very weak villain Errors in editing The characters are not compatible with each other Madame Web's superhero outfit is bad The Spider-Man hints were bad The three girls outfit were good but didn't appear for more than five minutes I don't understand why they didn't mention Peter Parker's name in the scenes hinting at him The positive thing about the movie is Dakota Johnson's acting performance The way she lost her sight was good I hope that if Madame Web appears in the future, they will take advantage of her abilities better than that A wasted opportunity. The story is good, but the execution is very poor.
