60 Minutes (1968– )
I wasn't planning to comment, but after I read that fellows slam I had no choice...
16 June 2002
60 Minutes is, most definatly, the gold standard. They find out things that no one else can find out, and they can break stories no one else has even heard of. They get interviews with the people who matter and bring the stories that matter to the public. It is truly the one and only REAL news show left. Not a 60 second sound clip that tells you nothing, but an in depth look. They ask the tough questions, to the tough people, and get it all right. Theres a reason it has been on the show for so many years, and is one of the most popular programs in history even today.

The Net (I) (1995)

This movie is unbelievably incarnate.

"It could happen to you."

NO IT COULDN'T!!

Computers don't have that much power! Not every computer is online and hackable! Also, every government organization doesn't use the same computer security system!! ALSO on top of all that, MOST top-secret important data is NOT kept on computers that are online in the first place!

If you know what a computer is, or anything about them, don't watch this movie.

If you know nothing about computers, and are very very very gullible, then watch this movie, but personally, it's a 0 star for me.

Hackers (1995)
3/10

Pure and simple, as a computer nerd this movie is crap.

It is totally 100% unbelievable, thats about it. It plays on every single hacker stereotype that exists and it makes up laws of technology.

"HEY! I bet I can guess the password to the FBI in 3 tries! I bet it's sex secret or god!"

Thats the level of technology they expect us to believe the FBI uses.

They ALSO expect us to believe that the FBI keeps its top secret files ONLINE in the first place!!

Crap, all the way through, plain and simple.

Exit Wounds (2001)

About as believable as Yasir Aarafat claiming he wants peace
4 April 2002
3 secret service agents with semi-automatic weapons can't take out 2 bad guys, who, might I add, have already taken out the entire motercade of officers none of whom realized their comrades were all being shot down around them until it was too late. Then, the hero rushes in, drives straight at them in a vehical with LARGE WINDOWS which the bad guys fail to succesfully hit with even one shot at point blank, he then fells the bad guys, and blows up the enemy helicopter without even reloading his pistol. And for all this, he gets fired, because he violated orders to stay off the bridge.

Thats just the first scene, it gets more unbelievable from there.
